Aloha! My name is Ellen, a proud resident of the Big Island of Hawaii for 33 years. I have been a guide since 2013 and enjoyed every single day doing this job. My connection to this island is so diverse. From living through the ending stage of the sugar plantations in Hamakua, to having 3 beautiful children, born and raised in Hilo, as a previous small business operator (restaurant, 20+years), and as a surfer. I wake up everyday and hit the surf in the morning and what I see never fails to amaze me each and every time. From our mountains, to the rainbows, the waves, the jumping fish, and experiencing the raw power of nature through the waves I chase and ride. What could be a better way to explore and experience this island than your own private tour, just for you, or with your whole entire family and friends. The ability and flexibility to customize or modify your adventure to your taste, to the one on one attention you get with your guide. The knowledge of a local tour guide like myself far extends my ability to inform and educate about the sights you see. My genuine love and appreciation of the place I have called home for the last three decades of my life would speak for itself. I've not only embraced it, but I live it, this amazing Island of mixed cultures that harmoniously co-exist for centuries. My tours are ideal whether your coming off a plane, staying at a local hotel or bnb's, or off a cruise ship. I have 2 vehicles I operate. Currently a 2016 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite, and a custom 2015 Ram 2500 14 passenger (hi top) van. I personally clean and maintain this vehicles and is in compliance with current CDC guidelines in regards to the COVID 19 pandemic. Everyone in my household are fully vaccinated and continue to take precautions to ensure your safety during your time with me. If you have an adventure in mind you do not find on the list of tours I have available, message me and I'll do my best to accommodate your request. Please note that all tours and itineraries may need to be modified in the event of unforeseen circumstances, weather, road conditions, closures, and unexpected emergencies. Punctuality is a must, your time is as valuable as mines. Safety is always the top priority. *I follow all CDC and State of Hawaii COVID19 guidelines* Public Utilities Commission Licensed Motor Carrier Licenses(both 6 passenger and 14 passenger category), County Taxi License/permit, TSA Certified Pass (TWIC), Hilo harbor Permit (able to pick up and drop off passengers at the Hilo Port), CUA Permit for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park My vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair/scooter ramps. I am not able to lift anything heavier than 30 lbs unassisted.
