I was born on Norton Air Force Base in Southern California, and when the mountains, beaches and streams became too familiar, I was off to school in Colorado until I became fixated with old textiles and native American art. This focus enabled me to travel extensively from the American Southwest to the tip of Patagonia. My academic focus is in environmental studies, and my professional endeavors included two galleries focusing on native American textiles. In my experience I have found offering tours tailored to the desires and needs of a group as they travel thru Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks offer the greatest reward in terms of overall quality of experience. With over 40 years of flyfishing experience professionally and 50 years of extensive travel in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, I have covered enough ground in the past three seasons alone doing ecotours in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks to cross the United States 15 times. Beyond this region, my hobbies and passions include fishing, surfing, skiing, and anything that floats. Overview of your Jackson Hole tour
With trips designed and conducted as private tours, latitude to travel and include stops working with the preference of the group is normal. Expanding on our half day tour description, we will see much more of what the Park has to offer by slowing down in a less time-constricted manner, with greater opportunity for photography, simple viewing, or even sketching. We will learn about the history of Menor's Ferry and Maude Noble's cabin, the birthplace of the Park. We may venture up Signal Mountain, drive out to Spalding Bay on the quiet side of Jackson Lake, or take in the shuttle ferry across Jenny Lake as well with ample time for a relaxed lunch lakeside, or engage in discussions of the historic, geology, ecology, and topography of the park and come to understand just how both the glacial and interglacial periods have shaped the park to afford the setting we find ourselves in, that of remarkably untouched nature!

Greg is an EXCELLENT tour guide!! My family (consisting of 6 people ranging in age from 20 to 80) all equally enjoyed the two days we spent with him! Our private tours of Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone were equally fantastic! We learned so much from Greg! He was so generous in sharing all of his historical knowledge about the land and the animals (we lucked out and saw many!). He patiently answered our questions, and drove us everywhere we could imagine (in a beautiful van). Overall Greg was just so kind and friendly and fun! We had Greg as a guide for both the 1 day in Yellowstone and 1 day in Grand Teton tours. Greg is very familiar with all areas of GTNP. We hit the popular tourist spots but we also went places where there were very few people (Cattlemans Road, Signal Mtn.). He knows where good photos can be found. He was also very informative about the geology of the area. We had a great time with Greg as our guide.
