Jody Mayo, Was a fantastic guide!!! We had a large group of 8 people and he was able to accommodate all of our needs. Jody was patient and he is a wealth of information on the history of Hawaii and we enjoyed our day with him. We decided at the last minute to add 2 extra sites that we wanted to see and it was not problem Jody made it happen. Jody went beyond and the above to make sure that we had a wonderful time. He even went back to our hotel while we were in the Pearl Harbor tour to retrieve a pair of glasses that one of my family member had fallen out of her bag in the hotel lobby. Jody is good at anticipating your needs before you even know that you need them. After being our for a few hours he took us to a Leonard's food truck for Portuguese Malasadas that were amazing and just what we needed. I highly recommend him as a guide for sure !!! Thank you Jody for our wonderful day!!!

Overview of your Honolulu tour
Include lunch on the North Shore to your visit to Pearl Harbor! You will definitely work up an appetite after your visit to the memorial, and I like to help satisfy those cravings. On the way to Pearl Harbor we will drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (PUNCHBOWL CRATER) to take in and honor the immense sacrifice of the fallen hero's of WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam. After a brief orientation you are on your way to experience the exhibits that the Pearl Harbor National Memorial has to offer. You are welcome to visit the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum during this tour (OPTIONAL separate entrance fee). No need to rush while at the memorial, take your time. *Tickets for the USS Arizona are not guaranteed or included. *VERY STRICT BAGGAGE RESTRICTIONS! (Leave your stuff in the vehicle with me and visit Pearl Harbor Stress free) *This tour DOES NOT include time for "FORD ISLAND" (USS MISSOURI, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum) After your time at Pearl Harbor we head north for lunch

If you’re interested in Hawaii (not just for the touristy traps) you must meet Jody. He weaves everything Hawaii into a perfect narrative of history, current events and culture in such a relatable narrative. Especially for history buffs you’ll enjoy really thoughtful conversations on Hawaii’s role the past 150 years, particularly the last 80-90 years. He’s very thoughtful with planning—we were traveling with a toddler and seniors—Jody helped us customize our trip perfectly for our loved-generation group and provided excellent recommendations for food and other sites to visit outside of his tour. Jody is also so engaging, especially considering language barriers with our older group and a very trying toddler temperament.
We had a great time on the tour and loved his point of view being an American raised in Japan.

While at the Historic town of Haleiwa you will have a variety of food trucks to choose from + time for souvenir shopping. Garlic shrimp is most famous, but other options are also available. After Lunch we will drive to stop by a remote beach On the way back I like to stop for some naturally flavored Shave Ice Then the Dole Plantation or Local Rum Distillery With a full belly, you will be back in Waikiki to enjoy the rest of the day.
