Hello, my name is Joan. I am an experienced and licensed Tour Guide. I provide sightseeing tours throughout the Hudson Valley, New York City and New England. I do walking, bus, and private car tours for 4-50 people. Background: I was born in New York City, and raised in Westchester County (Lower Hudson Valley). I have a B. A. in History from Briarcliff College, an A. A. S. Degree in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and an M. A. S. Degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute. I taught Art History at the State University of New York while in graduate school. I have worked in Tribal Communities for 22 years to help organize education and economic development programs and helped raise funding for the programs. My Hudson Valley Tours: I offer customized tours for groups of up to 10 people. A private car and driver will provide our tour transportation. We will visit Period Mansions, 19th Century Artists' homes, famous Woodstock, boat ride on the Hudson, overnight at one of several iconic and splendid hotel resorts, hike, horseback ride, and swim, enjoy gourmet farm to table meals, and visit local wineries and breweries.
