My name is Jacob, and I've been exploring Colorado since 2007, when I moved here for my first engineering job. Right away, I began hiking the beautiful Rocky Mountain peaks, then climbing the cliffs, and learning to camp in the backcountry, but what I loved the most was exploring on my bicycle. I eventually quit my engineering job to simply ride my bike as far as I could go. Three years later, I returned to Colorado having pedaled 38,000 miles and circled the earth twice. My route traced from Portugal to China, Alaska to Argentina, then across New Zealand, Australia, and Africa. While I was out there, I learned to be patient, to exist in nature, to be confident in handling any situation, and to always find beauty in my surroundings. This is the experience I bring to my tours. I pride myself in finding the most scenic places to visit, that both highlights the natural beauty of Colorado, as well as captures the local charm of the people who live here.

Clear Creek Trail, 15 min - We start our ride following the vibrant Clear Creek Trail. The waterfront park is one of the gems of Golden. Windy Saddle Park, 15 min - Our first stop is at Windy Saddle Park, where we get amazing vistas both west into the mountains, and east onto the Colorado plains. Lookout Mountain, 30 min - We reach the summit of Lookout Mountain, 1,700 feet above Golden. Take in the well deserved view! South Grapevine Road, 1 hr - We follow quiet roads through the Colorado pine forests, and quaint mountain neighborhoods. The Cow Eatery, 30 min - We reach the mountain town of Morrison where we stop for ice cream at The Cow Eatery. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, 30 min - We pedal into Red Rocks Park to admire the stunning rock features, and to see the famous Amphitheater. Dinosaur Ridge, 30 min - We stop to see rare dinosaur footprints, now captured in stone at Dinosaur Ridge. Golden, 30 min - We return to Golden with a tour through the neighborhoods on our way back to where we began.
