Hi, my name is Levi and I'm a Jersey Shore public historian. In fact, I've devoted my life to teaching and guiding tours, starting as a guide at Lucy The Margate Elephant, and including a a summer on a trolley in character as Nucky Johnson and a two-year stint developing a tour program, and historic exhibit, at the James Candy Factory in Atlantic City. I've been a college professor since 2005 and I was honored to win the 2009 Adjunct Teaching Excellence Award at Atlantic Cape Community College. I currently teach college courses at Temple (Intellectual Heritage), Stockton (General Studies), and Monmouth Universities (History/Anthropology), but my favorite audience is the public, like the tour groups that I get to lead through Atlantic City and Ocean City! I love the Jersey Shore, which is why I enjoy taking groups through different parts of Atlantic City and Ocean City. In Atlantic City I enjoy walking groups down the world's first Boardwalk, built in 1870, and through the different neighborhoods that comprise the complex community of this urban area. In Ocean City I enjoy taking groups to the earliest neighborhoods that were built in the 1880s and have beautiful architecture, as well as taking them down the Boardwalk to taste different sweet treats such as Salt-Water Taffy and fudge. I specialize in walking tours, which are able to access areas that other forms of travel cannot, especially the Boardwalks of Atlantic City and Ocean City. I also offer small group 'convertible tours' by request and can partner with Jitneys and Trolleys for larger group tours covering all of Atlantic City and the Ocean City area. I also enjoy doing customized tours that focus on the particular interests of different groups, so please do not hesitate to reach out of you have an interest in doing any type of tour in or around Atlantic City or Ocean City, New Jersey. I love to offer edutainment about my local area, so I'd always love to give you a tour if I can, and my goal is always to provide you and your group with the tour experience you are looking for! PhD in Public History from Temple University MA in American Studies from University of Iowa BA in Anthropology from University of Virginia 160 Hour TEFL Certification from ACCREDITAT I provide walking tours and small group driving tours. For larger group tours we can arrange transportation upon request.

Explore several off-the-beaten-track neighborhoods of Atlantic City, each with their own fascinating history. This tour starts in the African-American Northside section, it explores the LGBTQ Heritage Area around New York Avenue that is now home to the Orange Loop, and then concludes in the traditionally Italian Ducktown district. See beautiful historic churches in all three neighborhoods, as well as the ever-changing architecture in this dynamic city, and learn about the ways that different communities have occupied adjacent and often overlapping spaces in Atlantic City for over a century. This tour is important to me because of my personal connections to the area, especially the Ducktown district. I work hard to show guests what it was like to live in Atlantic City, for people of different backgrounds over two centuries.
