From beautiful sandy beaches to the worlds most famous golf course, this fabulous town will not disappoint. Join me on this fantastic tour of St Andrews, your journey takes you through the picturesque Fife countryside, learning about local and Scottish history on the way. St Andrews is not only famous for golf but is home to Scotland's oldest university and is the jewel in the crown of the East Coast of Scotland. Whilst in St Andrews you can experience authentic Scottish cuisine for lunch and try out some of the local whiskeys and beers. If you like shopping there are plenty of shops to browse in and bring back a souvenir or two of your day in St Andrews.
- Collection from Glasgow, your tour will drive 2 hours through the countryside of the Kingdom of Fife to the coastal town of St Andrews. - On arriving you will walk on The Old Course, there is a photo opportunity on the iconic Swilken Bridge where the worlds most famous golfers have stood to have their photo taken during The Open Championship. - Afterward, take a walking tour through the historic town with me, visiting St Andrews University Courtyard then onwards to the coffee shop where Prince William met Kate Middleton for the first time. - Then stroll through the ruins of St Andrews Cathedral before exploring St Andrews Castle and its underground tunnel. - Next stop is lunch at one of St Andrews best restaurants, then a walk on the beautiful sandy beach used for the filming of the hit movie 'Chariots of Fire'. - Travelling back to Glasgow you will travel via the iconic Forth Road Bridge at South Queensferry. This tour can be customized to suit special customer requests.
