We will discuss architecture, food, coffee, and more in the historic district that has been preserved, as if in a time capsule, to evoke a bygone era. Now hosting art galleries, cafes, museums, the bylanes of Al Fahidi district is the place to begin your journey. As we continue on foot, all of your senses will be activated by the surroundings. A ride across the creek on a small wooden abra (boat) is the quintessential Dubai experience, still used by commuters and residents. In the souks we will see old mosques, houses, artifacts, rich textiles, and spices. Learn how Frankincense, Saffron, and Myrrh, still capture the imagination of traders. Taste sweets that even Willy Wonka would marvel at. And finally, walk through the elaborate gold souk, a place that you didn't know existed and will never forget.
