Our guide Denizhan delivered a very professional private tour for four of us. Very diligent with arrangements and excellent communication leading up to the tour. Denizhan is extremely knowledgeable regarding The history of Ephesus and the town of Selcuk and it's region. Denizhan catered to our requests not in original tour very obligingly and our driver Mr Hahn was excellent also. Thank you to you both for a wonderful day. It was a well done and stress free excursion. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would use him again. Lunch was quite nice at a local area however part of the lunch was apparently set up in an attempt to sell us rugs. I would ask to leave out the guy trying to sell us these rugs. That was the only disappointment of the day. A professional driver and nice van was used.

The tour to Ephesus hit all the right notes for my brother and me. Seeing the various sites from the Temple of Artemis, to Mary's house, to the ruins of Roman Ephesus, were just what we were looking for. Adding in the Basilica of St. John and the Mosque were wonderful. Denizhan was professional, and knowledgeable. He even tried to help us coordinate the rest of our trip through Turkey. Fantastic!

Denizhan was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of history. The Roman ruins are spectacular. There was also a Medieval show complete with Cleopatra, Mark Anthony and Gladiators. He also arranged a delightful Turkish lunch outdoors which we thoroughly enjoyed and to some this was one of the highlights of the tour. Denizhan was flexible and when some did not want to go to the Museum he took them shopping at a leather factory store.

Your Cesme tour itinerary

The driver will pick you from your hotel in Cesme or Alacati. Drive approximately 2 hours to Selcuk Town. En-route see the cotton fields, vineyards and pine woods while driving along the blue Aegean shores. Meet with Denizhan in Selcuk town. Your first stop will be the temple of Artemis. Continue to Ephesus where you start at the Magnesia Gate and walk downhill through the city. Denizhan will point out the sights, bringing the history of Ephesus to life as you pause at the Odeon, Upper Agora, Town Hall, Fountain of Trajan, Temple of Hadrian and Domitianus, Memmius Memorial, Roman Baths, Terrace Houses and the extarordinary Library of Celsus. At the end of a marble street leading from the library, gaze up at the impressive theater, built to seat 24. 000 people. Enjoy a lunch in the grounds of a country house.
