Ankara in a Full Day - Private Tour

I enjoyed my tour of Ankara with Tolga thoroughly. You always get so much more when there is someone to explain and put things in context. He answered all my questions and I had many! I was very grateful Tolga accepted a later start since I was arriving that same day. He recommended a local place I could eat dinner and try a traditional Ramadan dinner. Thank you, Tolga!

Tolga put together a great custom tour for us in Cappadocia. He did a great job working around the challenges of significant snow while we were there and even made sure we got to a different airport to fly to Istanbul when weather canceled our initially planned flight. His knowledge of the area was outstanding. Feel we saw, learned and experienced as much as possible in our three days in the area thanks to his planning and guiding. If you want to use your time well in Cappadocia, would highly recommend that you use Tolga as your guide.

I had a wonderful tour with Tolga of the Hittite history not far from Ankara. He was flexible when I asked to change the scope of the tour en route, and kindly recommended multiple hotel and restaurant options for my stay. His English is also unparalleled--with no exaggeration, better than that of many native speakers I regularly converse with. Mercifully, Tolga is also an EMT and, in spite of a stomach bug that I may have brought with me on a multi-country tour, I felt confident that I'd be taken care of if it worsened. I only wish that I could have stayed longer; the country around Ankara is beautiful, and I hope to come back for (more) bird watching, wine tasting, and a few UNESCO sites that I missed.

Tolga is an outstanding guide and an all-around great person. He is knowledgeable, organized, and considerate. His command of English is excellent, and his knowledge of the history of Turkey is extensive. He has excellent people skills and we enjoyed the tour of Ankara . I give him my highest recommendation.

Tolga, our guide for our first visit to Ankara, was unfortunately unable to be with us owing to a recent injury. He was able however to recommend an excellent replacement, Onur, an archaeologist and author of "The Hittites: A Journey of Culture From Past to Present". Onur was an excellent guide and companion for the day. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable and illuminated our key visits to the Attaturk Memorial and Museum and to the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations. Highly recommended.
