Swiss green meadows with the classic images of Swiss cows, the snowy mountains' peaks on the background, the powerful waterfalls, the stunning color of alpine lakes - all this is priceless! I live in Swiss Riviera region, which attracted so many celebrities like Freddie Mercury, Coco Chanel, Igor Stravinsky, Audrey Hepburn, Charlie Chaplin and many others. They were choosing this place for living. And I guess they had a good eye on the best! In my home country (Belarus, Gomel region) I obtained a diploma in Marketing and then got an office job that provided me financially but didn't give me the sense of living full live). So, I stepped down for Cruise Line job on the bord of a ship cruising in Caribbean. Since then my life never brought me to the office again. I started doing tours when I was living in Madrid, Spain. That's when I realized that working with tourists is totally my thing. This is a wonderful cosmopolitan city, where the narrow old streets of the historic center harmoniously combine with new modern quarters, and the views on the Lake Leman and the Alps will touch your heart. During our approximately 2 h. walk you'll get to know the history of Lausanne, will see its hidden gems and will discover interesting facts about celebrities living here, Coco Chanel and David Bowie being among them! After I invite you for a picturesque walk through Lavaux, the Switzerland's largest contiguous vineyard area with almost one thousand-year history. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Lavaux wine region is famous for its unique landscape, long traditions and absolutely stunning views!
Your Lausanne tour itinerary
After we meet, we will head to the highest area of the city, where the Old Town is located. What we will see: - Lausanne Cathedral; -the carillon show on Palud Square which tells the history of Lausanne and the canton Vaud, - Bel Air tower, one of the very first skyscrapers in Switzerland; - the oldest chocolate shop in Lausanne; - St. Maire castle, the current cantonal goverment seat; -and much more! Then we will go to the Lausanne train station by walking to get the train to Lavaux. There we will have a nice stroll through the vineyards along the lake, enjoying the views. After around 1,5 hours of walking we'll arrive to a local winery for a wine tasting. After the winery we'll continue the walk towards the nearest train station. It will take around another 30 min. When in Lausanne, I will accompany you to your accommodation.
