You will enjoy the scenic views of the Rocky archipelago, take a walk in Marstrand and see 17th Century Carlsten Fortress (surcharge for inside visit).

The West coast shore excursion to Marstrand was memorial. We were so lucky to arrive the day they had a wonderful boat show. The Carlsten Fortress on the island has an interesting history and its stonework was beautiful. We loved looking at all the boats and people. The fish soup we had that day at Arnell's restaurant was the best ever. The heather was in full bloom on the island and we hiked around the island for over an hour. The views of the sea were beautiful.

Your Gothenburg tour itinerary
Marstrand is easy to reach, 47 km from Gothenburg, and 3 minutes ferry crossing to the main Marstrand island. At the top of the rock, rises the impressive 17th Century Carlsten Fortress. Enjoy the view of the sea and archipelago from the walls of the fortress. Please, note uphill walking. Take a walk through this idyllic town, with many old wooden houses and where car driving is forbidden! Then, we will go back to Gothenburg.
