Founded in the beginning of the 17th century as a trading centre, Gothenburg has always kept its international and friendly atmosphere. Lots of green parks and waterfront location, gives the town a relaxing spirit. I will customize the tour based on your request. Highlights: The Gustav Adolf Square, - the statue of King Gustav II Adolf The old and new Opera The moat and former ramparts, now a nice park The Garden Society Park, with Rose Garden and Palm House (summer time) The Göta Square, the culture centre Haga, first suburb of Gothenburg The old fortress "Skansen Kronan" The Maritime Centre of Gothenburg. * Please, note that the sights that can be included in a 2 hours walking tour depends on the departure point.
Possible itinerary: At the Gustav Adolf Square, rises the statue of King Gustav II Adolf, founder of the city. Along the parade street, the Avenue, we will find many nice restaurants, cafes and pubs. The Göta Square, the culture center of the town, is surrounded by the Art Museum and City Theatre, as well as the Concert Hall, where the National Symphony Orchestra is performing. The famous park Liseberg, open from April to September, can be an option. Ullevi Sport Stadium is not only hosting big sport events, but also open air concerts. Along the quay, close to the Opera, we find the Maritime Centre of Gothenburg - the biggest swimming ship museum in the world. Depending on where the walking tour starts, a walk through Haga, first suburb of Gothenburg, can be included. From Haga, it's possible to walk up the 200 steps to the old fortress "Skansen Kronan", and enjoy a splendid view the city. If time admits, take a walk in the Garden Society Park, with Rose Garden and Palm House (summer time).

This is a walking tour through the city centre of Gothenburg. It's possible to expand the tour, using either public transportation or taxi. * This tour is not suitable for cruise ships passengers, when docking at Arendal or Skandiahamnen, where the big cruise ships dock.
