Ashley is an amazing guide. So full of knowledge but also, he knows how to care for his clients. It was great learning about the animals as well as life in South Africa. He is an excellent driver. Not only could he spot the animals but he also anticipated where the animals would be and often found them. He knew how to position his vehicle to get the best photos. He also provided a wonderful picnic lunch in a beautiful setting. You know you are in nature when a monkey steals the grapes right off of the table where you are eating. Lol Ashley even took the time and assisted other tourists when their vehicle broke down. We would rate Ashley in the absolute top tier of tour guides. Thanks for a fantastic day full of great photos and great memories.

Having discovered my passion for bush life at an early age, I set about living that dream! I spend my days out and about in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park or nearby Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park looking for more than just the well-known wildlife! The South African bushveld is simply fascinating! My home is in a small coastal town, St Lucia, uniquely situated within a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, on the northeastern coast of South Africa. It is a haven for wildlife, marine life and unique flora and small fauna. With a focus on the wildlife, all of the tours I offer give my guests an insight into all creatures, great and small, and you will be surprised how interesting the bushveld can actually be! Overview of your Richards Bay tour
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is the oldest proclaimed national park in Southern Africa and where the rhino populations were saved from extinction in the 1960s. It is home to the Big 5 plus the majestic endangered Wild Dogs (also known as Painted Dogs), cheetah and other African wildlife. You will join Ashley on this relaxed yet immersive African experience searching for wildlife, big and small, taking in the vast landscape, the stunning flora and fauna, and soaking up the sightings, sounds and smells of the African bush. After a day on safari, you will understand this sentiment, there is something truly magical about spending time out on safari, watching wildlife in its natural habitat, and going about its everyday tasks! What a magical day! I can’t say enough good things about our day with Ashley. His more than 14 yrs. of experience provided us an exceptional day of seeing a diverse sampling of animals, learning about the plant life and animal behaviors/habitats, and hearing more about the South African culture - complete with a very fulfilling picnic lunch personally prepared by his wife. When returning to our cruise ship, we learned fellow passengers did not see near the number of animal interactions we had or experience the same quality level of service. We highly recommend Ashley. You will not be disappointed!!
