My name is Phillemon but most people call me Phil. I am a registered Tour Guide accredited to work in 5 different South African provinces, and also hold a license to guide in the country of Eswatini. I am very passionate about my job. I love meeting people from different countries around the world. I have been working as a guide for half a decade, and strive towards constant improvement, having attended self-development programs. Safety is my main concern on any tour while driving or walking. I believe to be a very friendly, outgoing person who loves to discover new attractions all the time. And speaking of time, I am always punctual (on time). My goal is to provide an excellent service to my guests and proudly represent South Africa and its rich culture and history to them, becoming an ambassador for my country.

On this tour, we'll visit the mine where the biggest diamond in the world was discovered back in 1905. The diamonds from Queen Elizabeth II's crown and sceptre originate from this mine. I still remember the first time I visited the Cullinan Diamond Mine in a school trip when I was just 7 years old. I was totally blown away by the beauty of these precious stones (and I still am, as the mine is still in operation today). We'll also step inside the former home of Paul Kruger, who was the President of Transvaal, a region that belonged to the Afrikaners. The house is currently operated as a museum that narrates his life, his legacy, how he established the largest railway system in Africa, and also how he took exile in Switzerland. Additionally, we'll take in the magnificent scenery of the Union Buildings, one of the most beautiful places in the city.
-After picking you up from an agreed point, we will embark on a roughly 45 minute scenic drive to the Cullinan Diamond Mine. -On arrival, we will watch a short video about the process of producing the diamonds. -Next, a staffer from the mines will welcome us and take us to the entrance of the mines, where we'll go through a breathalyzer test, to measure our full sobriety before going in. -Besides contemplating the raw diamonds, you'll also observe the mine workers in their day to day duties. -Afterwards, we'll drive to the Voortrekker Monument for a guided visit. -Following the museum visit, we'll drive to the Union Buildings (the Government's administrative offices) and marvel at their astonishing architecture & lush gardens. -We'll then had to Church Square, from where we'll see very important edifices a statue of late 19th century South African President Paul Kruger. -Our last stop before drop-off we'll be Paul Kruger's house. -At last, we'll return to where I picked you up from.
