Hello there! I am Alex, hopefully, your local guide in Serbia! Are you ready for a walk in Belgrade with me? Or a day trip to Novi Sad? Did you arrive by plane and have just a few hours of layover and would like to learn more about the city that you never seen before or you arrived by river boat cruiser, seen things with the whole group but want to add something extra? As a historian, I would give my best to present you the rich history of my country and home town, but we will also discuss about present times. I've been working with tourists for many years and my primary goal is to see my clients happy and satisfied. Novi Sad is the second biggest city in Serbia and is becoming more and more popular among tourists because of its lovely architecture and kind locals. Petrovaradin Castle was once known as Gibraltar of the Danube. Today, this is a popular tourist destination and the best known symbol of Novi Sad. Sremski Karlovci was once the cultural and educational center of Serbian people. Together, we will discover this small town and its lovely churches, nice square with unique fountain and one of the oldest high-schools. This area is known for its good wines and some of them were even served on ill-fated, but luxurious Titanic. We'll visit one of the wine cellars, too. Sremski Karlovci is on the outskirts of Fruska Gora hills, also known as a spiritual center of Serbian people. There are 16 monasteries there and we will visit one of the most important: Krusedol monastery. This is a tour made for tourists from Belgrade and the safety of my clients comes first. Because of that, I hire professional driver and a car.

Thank you Alexandar for an unforgettable day trip! This day included everything we wished to experience, beautiful sites, history and culture, meeting new people and tasting special food and wine. Alexandar took us off the main road through the beautiful villages and countryside of Vojvodina, we visiting monumental monasteries, tasted wine at a special family owned winery in Sremski Karlovy, visited the famous Petrovaradin fortress and had a guided tour in Novi Sad. Tour was very good arranged. Way to Novi Sad was by smaller roads with things to see around, way back by quicker highway. Novi Sad and smaller Sremski Karlovci while we stopped on a way are both beautifull cities. Distance from Belgrade is not long, so very recommended for day tour.
Aleksandar was a fantastic guide. He is very knowledgeable, personable and experienced. also, he was able to accommodate my need to start the tour in Novi Sad instead of Belgrade. I hope to be able to use him again next time I'm in Serbia!
