Belgrade Insight Private Tour - For Those Who Seek Answers

Excellent tour with Srdjan Ristic, author of Yugoslavia: Utopia or Inspiration? My husband and I read the book a couple of months before our tour, which provides an impressive history of the peoples who settled the land that ultimately became Yugoslavia and insights into geopolitical situation at play that has always been at play there. The tour brought these things to life. We enjoyed the entire tour but especially the Museum of Communism and the not quite finished Serbian Orthodox Cathedral. We especially appreciated the explanation of factors related to the tensions between Croats and Serbs, which are very evident. Srdjan is extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to tour with. Highly recommended.

This tour is a great way to see some of the top sites of Belgrade, including the fortress, Saint Sava Church, and the Museum of Yugoslavia/tomb of Tito. The church and fortress are breathtaking, and the museum has some fascinating artifacts from Yugoslav history. During the tour, you also see many other sites around the city. Srdjan knows an incredible amount about the history of the city and country, and his original research allows him to provide true insights on the importance of Belgrade as well as the rise and fall of Yugoslavia. The tour is highly recommended for anyone interested in Balkan history. Srdjan is the perfect guide for such a beautiful and complex city.

Srdjan was a great guide for Belgrade. He is very knowledgeable about his city and showed us all the highlights as well as recommended a great place for a coffee and pastry. We all enjoyed our time with him and highly recommend him.
