Adventure hike to Al Amaaria desert or across the old camel trail!

The desert has always played a crucial role in our lives, as it means so much to us Saudis: it is the best camping trips as we like to go to the desert and enjoy the quietness around a campfire and walking barefoot in the sand as it releases stress… People need to experience this if they want to really immerse in our culture. All the hikes in Riyadh are in desert mountains and we will see very few desert plantation. As a professional hiking guide I will show you and share my knowledge about the local flora - you'll see, for example, fossilized corals and seashells as the Arabian Peninsula was covered by the sea 100 million years ago. Another option is to visit the old camel trail and that is a trail that was used by people for hundreds of years ago to come to Riyadh area by camels - only a true local with real inside knowledge can show you this!

This tour is for the people who like to exercise outdoors in nature as they can hike and even do yoga if they like. The exact location is based on fitness of the hikers as there are easy trails and hard trails. Hiking is a long, vigorous walk, usually on trails or footpaths in the countryside. In summer sunrise or sun set hike is preferred as it is beautiful to watch the sun set or rise and to avoid the heat of the sun. • Pick up from the hotel • Go to the hiking spot • Start the hike - the level of difficulty depends on the complexity of the ground/path, and there will be no stops on the way that is 35 to 45 Min and if you want to tack photos, we can stop at any time you like • After the hike we will have some snacks and refreshments and 60 Min resting time • Go back to the hotel • The time and place of hiking depends on the season Please message me before booking this tour so that we can figure out what is the most convenient or suitable hike for your group :)
