Hello! My name is Gabriel, but my friends and family call me Gabi as a nickname. My interest for trips and travel started since I was a little boy. Living near the mountains offered me the opportunity to discover the joy of hiking. Near the Piatra Neamt city there are a lot of paths in the forest where you can discover a few of the nature's secrets (such as trees, birds, mushrooms, wild animals . . . things about survival). But my passion for cars and engines led me to a Mechanical Engineer career. In the past few years, my interest for travels and tours reignited the flame for adventure, and my interest for the tourism phenomenon become bigger than my interest for the same things at the age of 30. Maybe because my children are now old enough to accompany me on the path, as I did it in my childhood. . . My friends also started to be interested in the places we visited, to discover new destinations and get new information. So. . . here I am! I studied to become a Travel Guide for the travellers that intend to discover the Neamt area and the entire Moldova region (including the Republic of Moldova and the North of Bucovina). And why not Romania, one of the most amazing countries in the world! I am living in the Piatra Neamt city located in the Neamt County. The nickname of this city is "The Pearl of Moldova". The history of this region started a long time ago and we have a lot of archeologic relics from the Cucuteni Civilisation discovered in this region (about 5000 years ago). And you can discover them in the Cucuteni Civilisation Museum from Piatra Neamt, one of a kind. The locals are very proud of their past. And not only of the past. . . We are proud for being the followers of the Dacians and we can prove it by visiting the Petrodava fortress' ruins near the Piatra Neamt city, maybe the last fortress of the free Dacians. We are proud of defeating Mahomed the 2nd Sultan's troupes, the Conqueror of The Constantinopol, at the gates of the Neamt Fortress in 1476. And the Ottoman history is telling us about this event. We are proud to have the Ceahlau Mountain near us, "The Dacian Saint Mountain". We are proud to be in an area frequently visited by Queen Maria of Romania. During WWI, we can say that the Bicaz city was the capital of Romania for a short period, because the Royal Family of Romania moved for a short period at the Royal Palace from Bicaz and all the important decisions have been taken there at that time! We are proud of "the monasteries chain" from the area: Bistrita, Pangarati, Durau, Horaita, Agapia, Varatec, Secu, Sihastria, Neamt. Because of the number of monks and nuns, this area is the second monastic concentration in the world, after the Athos Mountain. We are proud to have a lot of legends. We are proud to be the Buffaloes Land! We are proud to have a Jewish treasure in Piatra Neamt - the wooden Synagogue from the 18th Century, a gorgeous piece of history, unique to the entire Europe. We are proud of the wild nature from this side of the world. We have a lot of protected areas in the Neamt County because we respect the environment. And we want to preserve the nature as it is. I am inviting you to discover the Neamt County. I have named it "A Piece of the Heavens". If you accept my challenge, you will be able to see why it is so! The history, the locals, the traditions, the nature and the adventure can be for you, dear travellers, the energizing holiday you are looking for! So don't hesitate! Accept my challenge! Visit the Neamt County! University Degree, I have been a Mechanical Engineer since 2001 and I have a Master Degree Graduate in Transportation Systems. Since 2018 I own the National Tour Guide Certification in Romania (no. 5892) issued by the Romanian Ministry of Tourism. I am also a trainer since 2019. I have a Driving License for cars and small vans (8+1 places is maximum I can drive). Even if I have a National Travel Guide licence, It might be some Museums or locations where travel guiding is forbidden (the authorities do not allow us to guide at some destinations - the Peles Castle for example). In the car, smoking is also forbidden.

Well. . . The travelers talk about museums, fortresses, traditions, locals, food, drinks, and all kind of different places with a nice history and covered by dust and stories. . . But what should you do if your spirit is free and you want to feel the adrenaline? The best choice for you is to visit the Piatra Neamt area and live the adventure: hike the Ceahlau Mountain, even in the winter period. So, let's do it! Let's have some fun! I am inviting you to discover the legends and the energy of the Ceahlau Mountain. Why Ceahlau? Because is the Romanian Athos. Because is surrounded by old legends from the Dacian period and we consider it as being the Kogaion, the Saint Mountain of our ancestors. Because of the wild nature, you can encounter black goats and Edelweiss. Because you can step over the clouds! Because the locals say "if you don't hike the Ceahlau once in your life, you are not Moldavian!" Because the place where you can feel this mountain's energy is on its peaks, looking beyond Bistrita's Valley!
You can hike the Ceahlau starting from one of the following two locations :- Durau or - Izvorul Muntelui. Both of these starting points give us the opportunity to hike the Ceahlau on a mountain path and go back to the start point using a different route. The hiking should take about 4-6 hours from the starting point and it's recommended to have a minimum experience with the mountain. - The meeting point is at the hotel. To get on the path early in the morning, we must leave the hotel at 07:00 if you choose to hike from Izvorul Munteului or at 06:30 if you choose to hike from Durau. If one of your "must-do" is the Duruitoarea Waterfall, the starting point must be The Durau. - The peak named Toaca with a height of 1904m is the most visited peak from the top. You will use a ladder to get there and touch the sky. - We will drink a cup of tea and eat a bowl of soup at the Dochia Chalet. And we will stay there over the night too. And you will enjoy every breath you take! Know I can customize the tour!

You will travel in a Renault Laguna from 2014, big car, with comfortable seats and air conditioner. I prefer to be maximum 3 travellers during the trip, one on the right front seat, an two on on the back seats. If there will be more than 3 travellers, I can rent a 8+1 van, but the price will be different.
