I would give the 10 stars if I could. Max was such an incredible guide. He was super knowledgeable about the area and clearly has a passion for what he does. This trip was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. It is clear Max cares deeply about providing an excellent trip for all his guests. He’s also got a great taste in music and had an excellent playlist going while he showed us the incredible coastline. Do yourself a favor and book this trip!

Our private boat trip with Max was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. From the time of booking to meeting at the boat, communication was great. Max even sent us a link to parking the day before our trip - every step was seamless. The coastline was breathtaking! The cliffs, the caves, and the crystal clear water were even better than we expected. Max provided the perfect picnic onboard including wines, soft drinks, fresh fruit, and gourmet snacks. We stopped in Avora for a lovely lunch on the water as well. Our group absolutely loved our time with Max and can see why he has so many 5-star reviews!

Max was excellent from start to finish. Communication was timely and thorough for arranging all of our needs. With a large group, it can be more challenging but we had no problems! He helped us to coordinate transport from Lisbon and book a local restaurant that WE LOVED after our tour! Highly recommend the tour, breathtaking views and excellent captain!

If we could give this tour 10 stars we would. Max created an incredible day on the water for us. The boat was perfect for our group of 9 and provided some sun shade. We saw all the best sea caves and even swam into a small cave with a beach landing that was basically a once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this tour! We passed a lot of boats where people were crammed in, all leaning over each other trying to get a good picture. The freedom of movement we had plus all the places this boat could go compared to the boats with two dozen or more people made it well worth it. However, the main reason I'd recommend this trip is our host and captain, Max. One of the most engaging guides I've encountered, and just an overall interesting, well traveled, well rounded individual. He was very concerned that everyone was enjoying themselves. Always included us in discussions about where to go and what to see. He extended our tour by an hour as we docked in the village of Alvor for lunch and to take in the atmosphere. The weather was overcast for our tour but we still enjoyed ourselves immensely and that's all because of Max. You won't be disappointed if you choose this tour.
