Every one of my tours happens in a very relaxed but attentive way because time is precious and that is unpriced! Hi, my name is Rosa and i'll be very happy to meet you in the Algarve, the southern most province of Portugal. With long years of experience and my certification as a tour guide, I'll make sure your visit to Portugal will be unforgettable. After leaving Africa where I was born, (came as a child to Algarve)i've always felt a great need to travel. It is to me as essential as reading a book. I love history, I need to know the past to better understand the present. Those were strong enough reasons to make me embrace the path of becoming a certified guide, a career that i've been building in Algarve for 40 years! I say building because a guide is like a walking encyclopedia, and we have to be constantly updated. I love the privacy of small groups, no doubt. On my tours you'll be comfortably seated on my own van, air conditioned, fully insured, and legally allowed to be with you everywhere in the country, outside and also inside the monuments. Only official guides can do so! And besides, a van can go to many places totally inaccessable by bus. However, may you need a guide and a coach for a bigger group over 4 people and I sure will provide you other transportation from 14 seater to 55!It is only a matter of availability and budget. My tours are designed to offer private versions of any of the trips available in Portugal or can be tailored to create a unique and very personal travel experience. After all this, you only have to say and I will meet you at the place and time you decide. Looking forward welcoming you to the Algarve! Official Tour Guide, graduated in tourism. Registred at Tourism of Portugal with the licence RNAAT 430/2015. Driver's licence and passenger transport insurances required by Portuguese Law.

We'll be travelling back to a time when the Portuguese were involved in the biggest enterprise in the world: discovering the sea route to Índia. And all this started from Lagos in southern Portugal. Lagos is a fantastic town in the western Algarve that in the 15th century was the operational base from which Portugal explored the African coast. It was here that prince Henry armed the caravels for the Discoveries. All over the town, street names allude to the Discovery. Among the historic buildings and monuments, the first slave market in Europe and the baroque St Anthony's church stand out. Ponta da Piedade will leave you speechless. it's hard to imagine so much beauty in one place! It has been called the most beautiful beach in the world. Our tour wouldn't be complete without a stop at St Vincent's Cape, the so called end of the world, and Sagres, the town nearby that still breathes history. We won't miss the Sagres Fortress either, or the Old School of Navigation! Let's go!

Rosa was extremely friendly and made what was a long time together very pleasant and enjoyable. Rosa clearly has extensive training and knowledge of the Algarve. Rosa is flexible with plans whether planning the trip and also throughout the day. My advice would be to do some research beforehand and see if there’s certain things you absolutely want to do while there otherwise you might not get the chance to do them or know that they were an option to partake in until you are there but it would be too disruptive to the trip.
Four of us booked Rosa's full-day tour of the Western Algarve. Rosa is definitely a five-star guide - friendly, knowledgeable, articulate, and an excellent driver. We recommend her strongly! We can't actually rate her Western Algarve tour itself, though, because one of us felt ill the morning of the tour, and our plan had to change. Rosa adapted quickly and drove us to Albufeira (where we were able to check in early at our next lodging), gave us a history and cultural tour on the way, and then gave our friends a marvelous tour of Silves and the surrounding area. Our friends loved their day with Rosa! As they put it, "Rosa’s depth of knowledge from decades of tours in the Algarve and her perfect English were a rich resource. Her ability to redesign a tour at the drop of a hat was impressive." Note: See our review of Rosa's Eastern Algarve tour, which we actually took a few days later.
This is an Amazing tour . Rosa de Sa is a remarkable tour guide . She caters this tour to her clients . From the Markets which are very interesting to out of the way local restaurants for small bites to walking in Largos, you get a great overview of Algarve. She took us to the most fabulous restaurant for lunch with an incredible view. The food was amazing . From Sagres to St. Vincente , she shows you all the sites . 5 Stars. I highly recommend this tour and with Rosa de Sa . She is the best .
Rosa is a great tour guide and makes you feel like family. We had an awesome time, and Rosa made sure we saw as much as we could within the time we had.
We had a fantastic experience touring the Algarve with Rosa. She was punctual, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the region’s history and culture. Rosa customized the day to our interests and made each stop—Lagos, Ponta da Piedade, Sagres, and St. Vincent’s Cape—engaging and memorable. We especially enjoyed the walking tour of Lagos, lunch at a terrific restaurant, and taking in the stunning views at Ponta da Piedade. The tour was well-paced, the van was clean and comfortable, and Rosa’s restaurant and sightseeing suggestions were much appreciated. As a family of five with adult children, we all agreed this was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!
