Hello and welcome to Coimbra! Born in Porto, I was a student at the University of Coimbra. I chose this hidden gem as my home in 2006, and from that time, I've been exploring its secrets. Coimbra, nestled between mountains and the sea, combines a rich history with a welcoming climate. Once Portugal’s first capital, it shaped early kings and witnessed legendary stories. I offer tours through its diverse eras, so you can truly experience Coimbra through time—Roman, Moorish, Medieval, Renaissance, Enlightenment, Dictatorship, and beyond. My tours can focus on Coimbra’s history and culture, or cater to your interests in art, architecture, or food. All experiences are tailored just for you. Looking forward to hearing from you soon :)

Join me on a tour of Coimbra and its evolution, from Roman times to the present day. We will start at the top of the hill, with the emblematic University and its iconic Library, and gradually descend into the walled city, exploring medieval alleys and narrow streets until we reach the downtown area. At the end, we will have time to visit the tomb of the first king of Portugal and his son at St Cruz church. As a former student of the University and someone who has adopted Coimbra as her hometown for the past 20 years, I will offer an overview of this thousand-year-old city, sharing its secrets and traditions.
Itinerary: - University & Library; - lunch break; - Inside the walled city: Cathedral area; Torre do Anto; Quebra-Costas - Outside the walled city: Downtown (commercial area) - St. Cruz church
