Hamid Ali – Licensed Local Guide in Salalah, Oman Welcome to Dhofar — and Ahlan Wa Sahlan. - My name is Hamid Ali, a licensed local tour guide born in the mountains of Dhofar, in a small village called Hamtook. I grew up surrounded by nature, tradition, and the ancient stories of southern Oman, and I now share that world with travelers seeking something authentic and meaningful. I believe a great tour is not about visiting places — it is about understanding the land, the people, and the hidden stories behind every stop. This is what I love most about guiding. - My Story I have been guiding travelers from around the world since 2017, helping them experience Salalah beyond the usual tourist routes — from hidden mountain villages and coastal cliffs to desert landscapes and frankincense heritage sites. For me, guiding is personal. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing conversations, and creating experiences that feel natural, relaxed, and memorable. - What You Can Expect With me, your journey is: Flexible and personalized Focused on authentic local experiences Rich in culture, history, and storytelling Comfortable, safe, and well-paced Designed around your interests (nature, culture, photography, or relaxation) I always adapt the experience to the guests — not the other way around. - Safety & Professional Background Your comfort and safety are always a priority. I am: A licensed tour guide (government certified) Certified in NEBOSH IGC (Health, Safety & Risk Management) Certified advanced cardiac nursing specialist with 20+ years of experience in healthcare Fully experienced in managing safe and well-organized tours You are always in safe hands throughout your journey. - What Makes Dhofar Special Salalah and the Dhofar region offer a rare combination of landscapes: mountains, waterfalls, green valleys, beaches, and desert — all in one destination. This land is also home to the ancient frankincense trade route and one of the oldest cultural histories in Arabia. I will not only take you to these places — I will help you understand their meaning and hidden stories. - Tours I Offer Cultural and historical tours Mountain and nature exploration Beaches and coastal drives Desert sunset experiences Local food and market visits Custom private tours tailored to your interests - Custom Experiences Every traveler is different. I am happy to design a fully customized itinerary based on your time, interests, and travel style. Just send me a message — I will take care of the rest. - Final Note I look forward to welcoming you to Salalah and sharing the beauty of Dhofar with you — not just as a guide, but as a local who truly loves this land. - Important Note I am not permitted to guide in military or restricted areas.
