I think I have the ability to provide all information which my guests needed . I was born in Salalah city. I then lived in a village in the western of Dhofar called shirshity . I have gained some experience through my work with some tourists who come to visit these natural places around my village . I like to guide my guests around my great country and I have the ability to guide them all over Dhofar Governorate. Now I living in Salalah and I have my local guide licence issued by the ministry of tourism (Salalah Dhofar Oman). I'm glad you read my Bio. I hope to share with you soon the history, customs and traditions of Omani society in Dhofar when you touring with me. My Regard Local Tour Guide license issued by ministry of tourism (Salalah,Dhofar,The Sultanate of Oman). I am permitted to guide only in English and Arabic language.

Overview of your Salalah tour

This half day tour will give you a great about the main attractions of Salalah City . We meet you at the main gate of Salalah Sea Port and drive to the city. Our first stop is beautiful Sultan Qaboos Mosque. We then drive to the old part of the city and have a stop at AL Hosan palace . Traditional souq in AL Hafa is special place to visit. With lots of shops with handicrafts, frankincense, gifts and many more, the souq is a place where local Omanis shop for their daily staff. Here we spend some time and lead to Frankincense Land museum. At the end of our tour we stop at Taqa fort for some photos before we drive back to Sea Port. in our way to the port we can stop for few munits at Coconuts and palm's farm.

This was our first visit to Oman and this tour provided an excellent introduction into Omani history, heritage and culture. Even though we arrived on the Eid Al-Fitr holiday with many attractions closed, our guide was able to adjust our tour to provide a memorable day. That included traveling into the mountains to a wonderful wadi to see what makes Salalah such a tourist destination point for fellow Arabs in the summer months. Highly recommend this tour.

Mohammed gave us an excellent overview of his city and the local area. We loved the extra touches he added, like a trip to a local sweets shop and a visit to an outdoor market with a taste of a refreshing coconut on a very hot day. We also liked his sharing of the basics of his faith when we were at the local mosque. His English is excellent as is his driving, two key factors to having a good guide! Thank you Mohammed for a lovely, informative day in your beautiful area of Oman.
