My name is Tere Morales, and I am originally from Mexico. I discovered New Zealand in 2005 and have proudly called it my home ever since. Like many locals in Hawke's Bay, I am an earthquake survivor, having experienced the massive earthquake in Mexico City on September 19th, 1985. My love for nature led me to the tourism sector, where I began my career working with dolphins in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, for four years. I have been fortunate to travel through and experience 14 different countries, ultimately finding my place in New Zealand. I hold a degree in communications and have a deep passion for different cultures and languages, coupled with a commitment to excellent service. These values inspired me to start a tour company in 2011 to share this beautiful country with the world. I am based in Napier, known as the "Art Deco Capital of the World" and a renowned wine region. In 2023, Hawke's Bay was awarded the title of "Wine Capital of the World." Whether your interest lies in wine, architecture, or sightseeing, I have a wealth of knowledge and experiences to share with you. With over 20 years of experience in the tourism industry, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences for my clients.

Overview of your Napier tour

Join me on this captivating evening escapade where history, culture, and elegance intertwine. Embark on an enchanting 3–4-hour twilight journey through Napier's Art Deco landscape. Starting at the Ātea a Rangi – Star Compass in Waitangi Regional Park, a replica of a celestial compass honoring ancient navigation techniques. As twilight unfolds, Napier's iconic Art Deco buildings come alive under the Deco lights. Your journey culminates at the illustrious Art Deco Masonic Hotel, an embodiment of 1930s elegance and charm. Enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine from the region. Savor fine wines alongside delectable nibbles, all while soaking in the nostalgic ambiance of this historic venue. To complete your evening, you can choose to stay for dinner at the Masonic Hotel or be taken back to your accommodation. Whichever you choose, this twilight adventure promises to be a highlight of your visit.
