My name is Elvis. K. Nghimutina, originally from the northern part of Namibia which is formally known as Ovamboland. Born and raised in the town of Swakopmund, where I still reside. My introduction to nature started off early in the day as a young man with the responsibility of looking after livestock during school holidays. While animal behavior has become a subject of interest during my time off, herding cattle, learning about bird callers, and identifying animal footprints. After completing school I enrolled with Namibian Academy for Tourism and Hospitality where I have obtained my National Guiding licenses. For the past 23 years of my guiding career, I have built a vast knowledge of Namibia, Fauna, Flora, Geology, History, and our cultural diversity. I'm a great traveling companion who enjoys sharing my knowledge and experience of our beloved country Namibia with all my visitors. DIP Entrepreneurship and New Venture Management. Welcome to the harbor town of Walvis Bay and now that you are here, I am delighted to host you for the next few hours that we will spend together. Throughout the town of Walvis Bay, you will learn about the history of whaling days, Walvis Bay port, the culture, and the fishing industry as we wander alongside the Lagoon to view flocks of Flamingo as well as the salt works. Next, I am taking you to experience some of the oldest Beasman paintings which are dated to be between 2000 and 6000 years old, the famous granite rock archer at Spitzkope. Spitzkoppe is a granitic rock formation that rises above the Namib Desert. The geology is so fascinating as it consists of granite and the exfoliation process really takes effect in the rock formation, where small particles break away and form into graver. Head to Swakopmund, a city with strong German architecture and a special personality that you will witness yourself. Welcome to Namibia.
