Hello, traveller! My name is Mauricio; we don´t know each other (yet), and I think we already share one thing in common: passion and curiosity for traveling. Overview of your Morelia tour
Monarch butterfly biosphere reserve is a UNESCO’s world heritage site, located approximately 165km northeast from Morelia; in Sierra Chincua’s forestal zone. This is a tour I enjoy since I recall it was one of my first times, as a child, that I got the opportunity to be amazed and overwhelmed by nature. We used to enjoy this trip as a family shortly after celebrating day of the dead. I particularly enjoy all the aromas from the trees, the food, the atmosphere. People from the region are welcoming and warm, even though it gets chilly sometimes, that's one of the things I'd love to share with people up to this kind of tours. I admire the big efforts locals put up in order to preserve the sanctuary, showing that to visitors I find it rewarding as well. Your Morelia tour itinerary
- Picking you up in the morning at your hotel or the best suitable place for you. It will be conveyed at around 7am - Driving to our destination takes from 2.45 -3.15 hours - Walking until reaching the sancta sancatuorum, the core of the sanctuary takes around 1 hour. It depends on the stops and the time we may take to rest or make pics. - Walking back takes in general the same amount of time - If desired, we can make a stop in Tlalpujahua to visit the historical zone of town and grab a snack. - Driving back to Morelia is 2.5 hours aproximately, from Tlalpujahua. - Our Tour ends dropping you off at your hotel, safe and sound.
