Hello! My name is Tomie, an officially certified tour guide. I am a young-at-heart guide. My favorite tour style is the so-called stop-and-smell-the-roses approach. Through it, I would like to share many Japanese things you have been seeking, such as various foods, from everyday dishes to traditional and seasonal ones. Additionally, I am happy if you are interested in numerous customs based on Japan's two major religions, Shinto and Buddhism such as New year's visits to temples and shrines, the spring and autumn equinoxes, and many national holidays in Japan. How about enjoying Kabuki and Noh as traditional culture, as well as so-called subculture, yes, Manga(animation) ? I guess you may have heard of Pokemon, Naruto, and Demon of slayer(Kimetsu-no-Yaiba)? Upon your request, I can explain the Tea Ceremony and Flower arrangement in detail, based on what I studied before my marriage( IoI). In particular, it is helpful to know what Matcha (powdered tea) is from scratch, because it has become incredibly popular all over the world nowadays. Now, I live in Yokohama(the second largest city in Japan) near Tokyo, but I was born and brought up in a rural country side area in Hokkaido, the northern part of Japan. I hope you enjoy compering not only cities and villages, but also a new capital, Tokyo and the old one Kyoto, both of which have very different and interesting historical and economic backgrounds. I would be very happy if my tour helps even a little to inspire each of you to draw your own picture of Japan based on your interest. I truly look forward to seeing you on my tours. * National licensed tour guide (English) * English STEP test Grade 1 * Authorized Tour Conductor * JGA (Japan Guide Association) guide Training course I don't have a commercial driver's license, so my tours are based on walking, using subway, train and taxi, depending on the tour you book.

This is a 6-hour trip dock-to-dock local Shimizu area. We will visit the Toshogu Shinto shrine, worshipping the founder of the Edo era. Right above the shrine is Nihondaira highland connected by a scenic ropeway. Before going back to your cruise ship, we stop by the Miho-no-Matsubara pine tree coast with Mt. Fuji figure if the weather is fine. A bigger group of more than 10 up to 19 can be conducted with a bigger vehicle (send me a message for a quote). There is an option (no Sundays nor Saturdays due to heavy traffic) for longer stayover cruises. It is to go up Shin-go-gome(the new 5th stage) which is located on the south slope of Mt. Fuji. This option is available only when the weather is good, and the road is accessible. When this the option is chosen, no other spots can be visited.
the following is an example itinerary 9:00 or your requested time 1. Meet up in the arrival hall of the cruise. (The scenic view of the tea plantation along the way to the Highland, we can admire. 2. Toshogu Shinto shrine, reached by a ropeway. 3. Yume Terrace at Nihon-Daira Highland 4. Lunch (?) 5. Miho-no-Matsubara beach 15:00 Back to the Shimizu port

By a chartered vehicle and riding a ropeway and walking. The chartered vehicle with an experienced local driver contributes to our tour at Shimizu Port well enough.
Shimizu, Shizuoka, Japan
Airport: ,Cruise: ,ByGuide: The size of Shimizu Port is not huge compared with ports in Tokyo, however, I always pay enough care to meet each of my guests with written your name on it.
