Konnichiwa and greetings from the land of the Rising Sun!! My name is Mitsuru and I do guided tours in pretty regions of Japan, especially around Fuji - Hakone - Izu National Park + Nagano state + HOKKAIDO - please see my multiple day Hokkaido tour! Since the pandemic, I moved to Kanagawa, next to Tokyo, but I still do tours there. Especially for those who will take my tours out of the capital. My most popular tours are road trips, so travelers can enjoy special places, not covered by conventional tours or by public transportation. I would like to encourage you to support smaller Japanese destinations outside of the big cities (out of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka)! As a travel enthusiast, I ended up in the tourism world and I love guiding people. I lived in QLD, Australia when I was young and have been to many places inside and outside of Japan and sometimes I meet my clients in their hometowns overseas! :) PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE BOOKING ANY TOUR, as I might be in talks with others travellers for the same desired date. Japan is a long country with 47 states with different climates from Hokkaido in the north (my favorite) to subtropical Okinawa (my ancestors land) near Taiwan. I have also visited different Japanese regions with a motor home during the pandemic. Every region is unique and they differ a lot according to seasons. My favorites are: 1) Autumn (Oct-Dec) and 2) Spring (Mar-May). Summer (Jun-Aug) is the toughest due to high temperatures and humidity. Travels can change people.. I believe in a new tourism based on E's": Educational, Entertaining with respect to the Environment. This tour is for those who want to enjoy a light~moderate hike along the beautiful Jogasaki Coast and around the Kawazu Seven Falls in the beautiful Izu Peninsula. The main hubs to get to this part of Shizuoka Pref. are Atami and Mishima cities and they are easily accessible from Tokyo Sta. or from Kyoto Sta.
It was a joy to go on a tour to Izu National Park and the Jogasaki coast with Mitsuru. He was cheerful, kind, knowledgeable, prompt, attentive, and helpful. The sites were beautiful and memorable and Mitsuru made the tour flawless. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour and Mitsuru to friends and family. Thank you!
We had an excellent tour of the Izu peninsula with Mitsuru. The private car and driver provided were great, and we were able to see a lot more than if we had taken the bus. We did 2 beautiful hikes led by Mitsuru-- one overlooking a waterfall at the ocean's edge, and the second hike at Kawazu seven waterfalls, which was beautiful. In between the hikes we spent some time at Izu Shaboten zoo, by our request. Mitsuru was knowledgeable, patient and kind. At the end of the hour long Kawazu hike, there was a snack picnic waiting for us, which was thoughtful. He even showed walked us through the Mishima park near the train station, and used his suica card to enter the station to make sure we made it to our shinkansen without issue. I would highly recommend seeing Izu, and having Mitsuru as a guide.
ONE MORE STEP FROM TOKYO! Please take a bullet train at Tokyo Station on your own and meet me at Atami Station around 9-10am. Then, let's do a cool driving along the Sagami Bay. Firstly, a brief stop at Mt. Omuro or Izu Shaboten Zoo. Then, the Jogasaki Coast. Once in Jogasaki, you will hike for about 1 hour along the ocean and gorges. Then, we will drive to the other attraction in the Izu Peninsula, the Kawazu Seven Falls. This will be an another easy hike of a bit less than 1 hour. Then, we will return to Atami Sta. around 4-5pm or eventually we can finish at Mishima Sta, if your next destination is Kyoto Sta.
