Overview of your Shimizu tour
This is very unique seasonal tour in the highest tea producing area in Shizuoka. The idea of this tour is to spend relaxing and enjoyable time in Izu, by experiencing what you can do only here for a limited time. Giving you a bit of break, stopping here on your way to Tokyo or Kansai areas, enjoying in a green tea field in Nirayama (only 1. 5 hours from Tokyo), experiencing tea picking and learning how to make delicious green tea at home, with a great view of Mt. Fuji if the weather is good, and delicious local food. Not only the tea picking , but also there are many enjoyable and exciting activities such as wearing a traditional tea picking kimono, explore a bamboo bath in nature and the Japanese green tea tasting served by 93 years old lady! She is really amazing with 85 years experience in making green tea. The tea served by her has unforgettably deep aroma. Please enjoy this special experience. Your Shimizu tour itinerary
Meeting at Izu nagaoka station 30 minutes before the tea picking starts. The tea picking is held 4 times a day- 10:00, 11:00, 13:00 and 14:00. The starting time can be decided by what time you can arrive the station, From which area you come, you arrive at Mishima station (this is a station of Shinkansen, 50 minutes from Tokyo) and change to Izu-hakone line to Izu nagaoka station (25minutes) where the guide meet you. Tour example (for 11:00 tea-picking session) 1. meeting at Izu nagaoka station at 10:30 2. Going to the field either by taxi (easy and comfortable), walk (20-25 minutes, not recommended in summer) or rental bike (reservation needed in advance) 3. Greeting by the staff of the tea field, changing to traditional Kimono and go to the field. 4. Experiencing the tea picking with a great view of Mt. Fuji and Explore the bamboo path upon your requests. 5. Visiting the tea processing factory 6. Tea tasting!! 7. Going for Lunch 8. Finishing the tour at Izunagaoka station

Airport: ,Cruise: ,ByGuide: Izu nagaoka station (Izuhakone line) Whichever areas you come from Tokyo and from Kyoto areas by Shinkansen please get to Mishima station (JR) . Then you can change to Izuhakone line from Mishima to Izunagaoka station. It is about 25 minutes ride. Unfortunately, you can not use JR pass for Izuhakone line. Please purchase the ticket . For further information on how to get to Izunagaoka station, please kindly ask the guide so that the guide can give you more specific information.
