Day trip from Shimizu to Fujinomiya, getting close to Mt.Fuji

Fantastic tour. Motoyuki was an excellent guide who knew viewing spots not generally known. Strongly recommended.

Moto-San was a great tour guide! Picked us up right at the port, and we had a great day with him. The sights he picked were perfect to have amazing views of Mt.Fuji IF the weather had cooperated! But tour guides cannot control the weather. We had lunch at a traditional Japanese restaurant. And saw a private tea house where we could’ve participated in a tea ceremony. He was very flexible with us and the sights!! Highly recommend!

Motoyuki provided us the perfect way to experience the whole area. Weather was an issue but he arranged the itinerary so we had great views of Mt Fuji at Obucho Casaba, enjoyed cherry blossoms at Iwamoto Mountain Park, wonderful Shiraito Falls. Another highlight was a traditional Japanese lunch in a tiny restaurant only known to locals. He arranged comfortable transportation and was able to accommodate one family member in a wheelchair. This was simply the most amazing excursion. Moto did a fantastic job dealing with our group of six including four teenagers. He listened to our desires for the trip and tailored it to meet our needs. We asked to go to an authentic Japanese restaurant and he was very helpful with making sure that we understood the culture and customs. He did that without making us feel bad or stupid. He did the same when we went to our first shrine. He also worked incredibly hard to ensure that we got to see the mountain. As a part of this trip we had a private driver who was nothing short of amazing as well. It started raining when we were out on excursion and she actually came out with umbrellas for us. Way above and beyond. We enjoyed the waterfalls and the Mount Fuji heritage center very much. Can't recommend this trip enough!

Excellent tour with Moto! We loved the tea ceremony, the waterfalls, the sake tasting, the beef lunch, and the mt Fuji heritage center. We even had a great view of almost all of Mt Fuji! It was a cloudy and sometimes rainy day but it all worked so well. Our ship was delayed arriving but Moto adjusted the itinerary and even extended a bit so we missed nothing. Well done Moto!

Our shore excursion was great with Moto! Although we had a fairly cloudy day Moto did everything he could to maximize our view of the mountain and ensure we enjoyed each site. The whole family loved the Shiraito waterfalls and ramen restaurant he suggested. A great day with wonderful insights from someone who has spent time as a mountain guide on Mt. Fuji.
