Kussharo Mashu Caldera lakes from Shari - Summer Private Tour

We had a great day with Fredi ! This was a family trip, that included my parents that are close to 90 years old. While they are in good health, Fredi customized our itinerary to ensure that they could go through it for the whole day. We were able to enjoy wonderful nature scenes that are majestic in the Akan Mashu National Park, we saw salmons trying to jump the falls and also learned more about the Japanese culture, in particular in Hokkaido. Also, we saw some deers along the way. Cute creatures ! It was a very nice day trip and a day to remember !

Frederic gave me and my friend a fantastic tour of Lake Kussharo and the surrounding area. He was very accommodating with changing our pick-up location and customizing the tour contents based on our needs. What I appreciated most of all were the stories and insights into the local community and culture that he shared as someone who has lived in the area for many years. Besides joining Fredi's tour in Shiretoko, we also joined his tour around Kussharo-Mashu. He brought us to places that not many tourists know. Watching salmon run, visiting blue pond & Raiun jinja were very interesting. When weather was not cooperative, he made sure that we still enjoyed our day & had the best experience in Hokkaido. He's also very energetic & passionate that the day passed very fast. It's such a memorable experience. If you're planning to go to Eastern Hokkaido, please engage him!

Frederic is our tour guide. He is very flexible and willing to listen our need and customise tour itinerary specially for us. We are thankfully to him that we can cover all the places in our bucket list within travel period. Tour to lake kussharo is the best as he almost brought us go round the lake to have different view from different places.

Frederic was an excellent guide and really knows his stuff about wintersports. We needed to change our plans last minute and he was extremely flexible and took us on a trek around a remote part of Lake Akan, we were the first people to trek the area that season. It is clear that you really need an experienced guide when doing this activity for your own safety. I highly recommend you use Frederic for a snowshoe trip.

Fred is an experienced guide who can well communicate with us for the whole day trip. Although the weather is out of our expectation, Fred is passionated to show us many spots for sightseeing and taking beautiful photos.
