Hello, everyone!! My name is Yukihiro; call me "HERO. " I'm eager to introduce this unique country, Japan, to foreign guests!! I am qualified as an Okinawa Prefecture licensed Guide Interpreter. I retired from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force(JGSDF=Japanese Army) in March 2018. I have spent most of my career as an Army NCO(Non-commissioned officer). My job experiences are only in the military, but there are various specialties, so I didn't feel bored. I lived in many places all over Japan, such as Hokkaido for ten years, Chiba for 15 years, Okinawa for 15 years, and other sites. I am working as a tour guide in Okinawa and Nagasaki, Japan. I live in Okinawa and Nagasaki half and half, and work as an interpreter tour guide in both places. I am qualified as an Okinawa prefectural interpreter tour guide (English & Chinese) but don't cover a whole Japan area certification. So I am brushing my skill up to upgrade it for the whole of Japan area. Qualified & registered as an Okinawa Prefectural Licensed Guide Interpreter(English and Chinese) in 2018. Registered as an Okinawa KARATE Guide Interpreter by Okinawa local government in 2021. Qualified Domestic Tour Conductor in 2018. Completed Advanced rescue course by Okinawa fire department HQ in 2017. My guiding area only has poor public transportation available. But I will arrange a suitable size rental car or taxi for the transportation. The number of people I can guide is up to 8 adults due to the means of transportation.

This tour is for up to 4 pax, if you are 5 to 8 pax, please refer to for 5 to 8 Pax one. The tour visits significant spots on Okinawa's main island in 8 hours (Standard). The itinerary is flexible; it can be changed by coordination with the guide. The tour time is also changeable from 7 to 10 hours. My guiding fee is 40 USD hourly (up to 4 pax), so an 8-hour tour costs 40×8=320 USD plus a Meet-up fee: 40 USD(Guide's transportation back and forth to the meeting place) and a rental car-related costs: 170 USD, so the total tour price is 320+40+170=530 USD plus TBL service fee.
Wow, where do I start. I sent Hiro maps my Dad left after he passed in 2005 showing his places he was at on Okinawa in 1945. Hiro took my wife and I to all the locations, discussed what happened there and what the Marine involvement was. After we toured several sites of interest around Okinawa. I would use him again prefer to all my friends.
Hiro did a fabulous job getting us to various sites we were interested in and working around the rain. He was very knowledgeable about Okinawa history and was attentive to our questions. We really enjoyed our day!
Yukihiro or Hero was our driver and tour guide to see Chaurumi Aquarium, tropical botanical gardens, Kouri Island, Heart Rock and Cape Manzano. He speaks English fluently and helped me get a wheelchair for the uphill paths to the aquarium. He also helped us get discount tickets since I had a handicapped permit card. The whale shark is so impressive. The ocean is so beautiful. He was very thoughtful and surprised us with some Okinawan black sugar andagi donuts. Thank you Hero for a beautiful tour.
Hero was a terrific guide; very knowlegable, punctual, had a pleasant personality, and easy to converse with in English. Our tour was customized to our desires and Hero was very flexible to adjust as we requested. We used a nice rental car that Hero arranged, so we were able to cover much ground with ease and with little wasted time. We would definitely recommend Hero to other tourists visiting Okinawa.
Yukihiro, just call him Hero as he is a retired army paratrooper is an awesome guide! We had 2 tours with him and our first tour was the "city tour" and we did the War Sites on our next tour. Very knowledgeable and efficient guide. He took us for local food, and we had Japanese Taco. Give it a try! We had a great day with Hero and I'm sure you will too!
