Hello! I am Aki, welcome to Okinawa! Born and raised in Okinawa, Japan, I have built a diverse career in the tourism industry across multiple countries, including Hawaii and Australia. My experience spans hotels, restaurants, tour guiding, marine activity coordination, and tourism marketing. After returning to Okinawa, I joined the Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau (OCVB), where I worked for over 10 years. During my tenure, I played a central role in overseas promotion, inbound tourism infrastructure development, and international flight route development. I have visited 17 countries, hold a certified Okinawa Regional Interpreter Guide license, and am passionate about sharing the beauty and culture of Okinawa with international visitors. In 2021, I joined an online travel agency, producing local tourism content while also leading sales for an activity booking platform. Through my tours, tour participants will discover unique stories and secret places known only to the locals. They gain a deeper understanding and experience of the history and culture rooted in each region, and gain new perspectives through interaction with the locals. My tour offers a wide variety of tours specializing in nature, culture, history, and sports. With plans to suit your interests and preferences, there is something for everyone. Nature lovers will enjoy eco-tours and hiking trails through beautiful landscapes, while those interested in culture can experience local traditional crafts and arts. History buffs will enjoy trips to old towns and historical sites, while those who prefer active travel will find thrilling experiences such as SUP, kayaking, and snorkeling. All of my tour prices include private transportation.

This was a wonderful tour of Okinawa. Our guide and driver, Aki, provided us a very comfortable drive and history of the diversity of the island. We started at a small fishing village on Ojima Island where we not only saw some beautiful ocean views but were able to sample some delicious tempura and sushi made from the catch of the day. After that, we headed back into the city to view the historic Shurijo Castle and the Shininaen Garden. We appreciated that Aki knew how to avoid the crowds so that we saw everything without having to wait in lines. When he learned that we were interested in the bonsai tree in the garden, he took us on a detour to see the oldest bonsai tree on the island that was majestic. We ended our tour at Yachimun Pottery Street where we able to climb up and see the original kiln built in the hillside, as well as explore the unique shops. Aki was the best guide ever....knowledgeable, flexible, organized, personable and funny! If he is available, would definitely recommend him.

This was an excellent tour where we also had the chance to taste delicious foods along the way. Aki-san, our tour guide, made sure that our group of 6 people had a fun, memorable time while learning about the history and culture of Okinawa. He was very thoughtful and responsive to make sure everyone was comfortable. Driving and parking in the narrow, busy streets is something most foreigners would not be comfortable doing so I recommend this tour as a great way to explore Okinawa.

We highly recommend the Naha and South Okinawa tour and our guide, Aki! The tour was fantastic and Aki is just an amazing guy! He was very accommodating and picked us up in a roomy, comfortable van. Aki showed us important historical sites on the island and gave us details about this island’s history. He was born and raised in Okinawa, so was familiar with the best local areas to shop and eat (we are foodies and he made sure we got great snacks and a wonderful meal at the local fish market) . He studied in the U.S. and has traveled outside Japan so his command of English is excellent. Our 7 hours with him just flew by and we wish we had been able to do his other tour of the north of the island; we definitely use him as a guide when we go back!

Aki was exactly what we had hoped for in a guide, and more. He was knowledgeable about the history and culture of Okinawa and was able to answer many of our questions. Aki is fun, passionate about Okinawa, fluent in English and Japanese, and went out of his way to fulfill our interests. Book Aki, you will not be disappointed.
