The tour will start picking you up from the dock or other places you arrive. We visit first Giardini Naxos and its amazing bay, drive up to the village of Castelmola (1500 fts. ). We visit the enchanting village, with an amazing landscape and a great view of Mount Etna (11. 000 ft. - the highest active volcano in Europe), and the wonderful landscape of Giardini-Naxos Bay. We drive 5 min down to Taormina, the ancient Greek colony, with its amazing pedestrian path (the ancient Roman "Valeria" road), the Greek theatre, the monuments, the shops, the famous restaurants and pubs and more else; here you'll have approx 2 hrs of free time to visit the amazing town with a guide/map. At the end of the visit, we drive back to Messina (or Catania if you start the tour from Catania) for a quick city tour. The tour ends at the destination requested by the client.

According to the tradition the ancient Greek philosopher Plato described the present-day west southern coast of Calabria as "violet", because of the colour of the reflected light on the sea water.

Both Scilla and Bagnara are among the most ancient towns in Italy, inhabited at least since 13th century BC, located in a magnificent position near the end of the Straits. Scilla hosts the coastal district of Chianalea, inscribed into the most beautiful villages in Italy list, where the Mediterranean sea touches humans' houses, and a castle perched on a rock in a magnificent position. Bagnara is well known in Italy for its Torrone, a locally made type of toffee, which is typical in winter season.

Since Scilla and Bagnara are related to my father's family, I have visited both towns many times, several of which I guided friends from Italy, abroad and also tourists.

The tour begins at the dock or another point you decide. Once aboard we take the highway Messina/Catania (exit Giarre). We leave the sea level and start to climb towards the summit of the volcano. Before we reach our destination we cross some Sicilian villages (Santa Venerina and Zafferana), then we get to the craters Silvestri (7000 ft. ), it is amazing the landscape of the big craters, where you can admire the large lava flows creates from past eruptions.

On the road, we enjoy the great vineyards of Etna and the farms overlooking the coast of Catania. We stop in Zafferana Etnea, at the feet of the famous disruptive eruption of 1991 for a brief tasting. Then we leave Etna and we drive to Giardini Naxos to visit the spectacular bay, then Taormina, here you'll have approx 2 hrs of free time to visit the amazing town with a guide/map. Finally back to Messina for a quick panoramic tour of the city (or Catania if you start the tour from Catania).

This tour combines the best you can visit in one day tour. We start the tour from any place the client wish and our first stop will be the medieval village called Savoca. Savoca it's a beautiful village at approx 40 min from Messina, it's well known because Coppola used it as main location for the famous movie the Godfather, but the village moreover has some nice sites to visit (the 12th century limestone arch, the Pentefur Castle, the amazing view of the volcano Etna and more). We spend around 1 hr to enjoy the beauties of the place and than we leave. Second destination it's the volcano Etna, we drive approx 1 hr to reach it; along the way we enjoy stunning views of the coast and the wineyards. We stay no more than 1 hr, visiting some extint craters and having a walk around. Our 3rd stop is Taormina, the pearl of the ionian sea, one of the most beautiful town in Sicily; here you'll have approx 2 hrs of free time to visit the amazing town with a guide/map, then back to the final destination for departure

Francis Ford Coppola decided to use this village as main location for the life of Michael Corleone in Sicicily; the most famous sicilian scenes of this movie (part 1 and 2) were filmed in savoca.
