Hi everyone, my name is Cristina and I am a regularly qualified guide of the city of Ferrara and...
Itinerary not perfect? Message Cristina B. to build a tour that’s just right for you.
A walking tour from the Castle, symbol of the city of Ferrara to discover the medieval and Renaissance part of the town. Along the way you will see the Cathedral, the Jewish quarter and then walking along Corso Ercole d’Este the masterpiece of the architect of the Dukes Biagio Rossetti, Palazzo dei Diamanti (Diamonds' Palace).
-An ideal itinerary can start from the Castle, born as an austere fortress and then returned to the city as an extraordinary work of art, enriched with roof terraces above the towers, with marble balconies, from the frescoed courtyard, and from the sumptuous apartments with the splendid ceilings of colorful frescoes, still today witness of the past magnificence of the Estense court. -Leaving the castle behind, you will plunge into Corso Ercole d'Este, the ancient Viale degli Angeli, following with your eyes the imposing and harmonious profile of the walls, up to the Quadrivio degli Angeli, an admirable crossroads of art and urban planning, embellished by three palaces : Palazzo Turchi di Bagno, Palazzo Prosperi Sacrati and the masterpiece by Biagio Rossetti, the Palazzo dei Diamanti, one of the most famous Renaissance buildings in the world, with its unique façade in white marble bricks.
