Capri - The Queen of Rocks

Our party of six had an incredible 6-hour tour of Capri with Domenico. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and showed us the absolute best sites across the island. By the end of the day, we walked away with a fantastic experience and a much deeper appreciation for Capri's rich culture. We definitely recommend Domenico as a tour guide.

Domenico provided us with a wonderful walking tour of Capri, his expertise and understandable passion for this remarkable island came through in the historical and environmental information he shared. We were most interested in Villa Jovis and he brought a book that showed us early photos of the Roman site shortly after its initial excavation with floor plans and other information to enhance our understanding of the Roman presence on Capri. He also pointed out the remains of an aqueduct, signal towers, and other Roman remnants as we walked, reminding us to visit the archaeological museum at the Monastery of San Giacomo close to our hotel. We stopped at the 14th century Byzantine Chapel of San Michele/Santa Croce, a charming addition to our outing, and enjoyed seeing villas like La Moneta along the way. Domenico''s knowledge of the natural surroundings was an added bonus; he knew every spectacular perspective to stop at, from cliffs to azure water, shared stories about the many native plants along the way, and even the goats came out to meet us when we arrived at the top of Mount Tiberio along with a remarkable flock of unusual birds. It was a prefect day, well-customized to this group who needed to take it slowly on such a demanding hike. Domenico insured success through his excellent communication and sharing of information from the start (textual, photos, and videos) through the TbL website chat and WhatsApp. He even stopped by to meet the group the day before the tour to discuss plans and carried water and other items in his backpack day of. Domenico was amazing! He showed us all over Capri and we left with a strong connection to the island that he loves so much! I felt like I was immersed in the culture and the beauty with every step of this tour. He was also able to cater the tour to our needs with was really helpful. We had the best time!
