Donegal Wild Atlantic Way and the Sliabh League Cliffs

Sliabh Liag cliffs and South Donegal have stunning vistas; the land is just beautiful. We also visited some incredibly talented crafters with lovely wares. If I could give more than 5 stars for John and this tour, I would. Touring with John is like touring with a friend; an opportunity not to be missed. His knowledge and love of the land comes through in all his stories, descriptions, and conversation. He provides for a full day of tailored stops, but never rushes, allowing for your own pace to enjoy. He was a great guide, patient, funny, kind, and easy-going.

We truly enjoying our Wild Atlantic Way tour with John. As a local, he provides a wealth of knowledge on the Donegal area, including history, folklore & personal experiences. He tailored our tour to our preferences. adding a couple new stops and skipping others. Highly recommend!

Looking for a GREAT, professional guide with extensive knowledge, kind mannerism, and a great sense of humor? Then John is your guy. We spent a great day with him. We learned a lot about cultures, history, traditions, politics, etc. John answered all our questions, allowed us time to take LOTS of photos and we shared many laughs together. John's calm mannerism, great knowledge, and "grand" sense of humor were just what we were looking for! Thank you, John, for the great memories!

We had a wonderful tour with John McGroary out of the port of Killybegs. Our group had a full day of great history, experience, scenery, and expert guidance. John is a great storyteller, he takes wonderful care of everyone in the group, and makes choices based on moment-to-moment tracking of the weather, to make sure we have the best views and experience. Top marks! Would love to return and do another tour of Donegal.

What a great day we had with John - He picked us up at 9 from our hotel and drove us around the Donegal coast for about 6 hours. He shared his knowledge of the area, his experience growing up there and as a policeman in the area. Plenty of great stops and BEAUTIFUL landscapes - even taking us out onto the bog to demonstrate the "bog bounce". Just having him driving us was worth the tour. These roads are not for the faint of heart! Overall one of the best days we had in our 2-week trip to Ireland!
