Why going to Indonesia ? Yes Indonesia is multi culture, religious, dancing, people and so on. Don't need to go each provinces to find those different houses in Indonesia. In this tour, you will see Indonesia Miniature Park. We have 33 provinces with wedding dress, houses and traditional customs. Indonesia Museum is talking about wedding dress and traditional custom from all provinces in Indonesia. You will see also Burung Garuda as symbol of Indonesia Republic. Burung Garuda is not only the symbol and bird. But have a deep meaning. Look on each body and the hair. Some traditional houses will be visited and see inside by us. So wonderful Indonesia can unity in diversity.
Dwi was a good guide. We saw all the highlights - National Monument, istiqlat Mosque, Kathdral Church and the Miniature Indonesia. unfortunately it rained very hard when we arrived at the park but Dwi was able to get us a shuttle to take around the park to see the different providences represented. Would liked to have spent more time there but the weather did not allow. Tour was well worth our time.
"Professor "Patrick ( as we nicknamed him) is hugely knowledgeable about not only about Jakarta but all of Indonesia , history , culture and the evolution of society . His English is very good and he tells a good story about Jakarta . We loved our day with him and his many many tales . He is an interesting man and if you use Patrick for your tour , you will see as we did everything there is to see in Jakarta. We particularly loved finishing at the most beautiful cafe Batavia for a late late lunch at the end of the tour . A magical place ( extra of course!) We did a trip to the Mini Jakarta with Dwi. Even though it was off season for the park Dwi was able to give a lot of information about the different islands of Indonesia that were represented at the park. Donnie was our driver, trust us when we say you do NOT want to drive in Jakarta. Let them chauffeur you.
Dwi gave us a great tour and we got to know more history, culture and geography of Indonesia. He is also a great photographer. Thanks a lot.
