Born and brought up in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Peadesh has beautiful meaning i. e. "HIM" means SNOW & "ACHAL" means "COVERED, while PRADESH meand state so it becomes Snow covered state and Himalaya also rises from here. Dharamshala has mountain range called "Dhauladhar Range" which is the part of lower Himalaya. Dharamshala is also the home of Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the 14th Dalai lama. So I usually encounter many travellers everyday from different parts of the World to show my area and around with different interest. About my education background I have got master degrees in English literature and Tourism Administration. S9 since the start of my career I am in to the tourism and which is in the blood now. I am also a professional mountaineer as well and got my mountaineering course from one of the prestigious institute in India which is in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Overview of your Dharamshala tour
Day hike to Triund will take you through the mixed forest of oak, cedar & rhododendron forest. Triund is a large land of green grass and pasture like. One can see the mighty Dhauladhar ranges just above the eyes. This is the base camp and acclimatization point for trekkers climbing the Inderahara in the Dhauladhar. As we reach at the top all the tiredness ll gone away after seeing the mighty Dhauladhar so close to you which ll make you speechless. Trail towards Triund is an old trail and its been used by shepherds from last many years to cross over Indrahara Pass (4300 mt) to go to another beautiful alley called Chamba valley. Apart from this from Triund there is an old temple called Kunalpathari whichnis dedicated to Goddess Durga and local shepherd people of Dharamshala they make pilgrimage to that temple. From Triund we can see some beautiful peaks called Mun peak (4600 mt), Matter Horn (Gauri junda 4800 mt, it's called Matter Horn as well because of its exact resemblance).
Your Dharamshala tour itinerary
Mcleodganj - Galu - Triund. (06 km/3-4 hrs one way-elevation gain 900 mt) ●After breakfast drive from hotel to last road head for the start of Triund trek called Galu. ●Later start trek to Triund with pack lunch. The walk offered the good views of Shivalik hills which are plains of Kangra valley. ●The trek is moderate gradual uphill in nature. Triund is a large land of green grass and pasture like. ●One can see the mighty Dhauladhar ranges just above the eyes. This is the base camp and acclimatization point for trekkers climbing the Inderahara in the Dhauladhar. ●Lunch at the top at Triund (2900 mt). Sit and meditate here for couple of hours. Later same way walk back till Galu. ●From Galu catch the car back to the hotel.
