Born and brought up in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Peadesh has beautiful meaning i. e. "HIM" means SNOW & "ACHAL" means "COVERED, while PRADESH meand state so it becomes Snow covered state and Himalaya also rises from here. Dharamshala has mountain range called "Dhauladhar Range" which is the part of lower Himalaya. Dharamshala is also the home of Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the 14th Dalai lama. So I usually encounter many travellers everyday from different parts of the World to show my area and around with different interest. About my education background I have got master degrees in English literature and Tourism Administration. S9 since the start of my career I am in to the tourism and which is in the blood now. After working for couple of years in Delhi for big travel houses as an executive to prepare tailor made and customized tours I came to my home town to work in tourism sector as well. I am also a professional mountaineer as well and got my mountaineering course from one of the prestigious institute in India which is in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. I am a licensed tour and trekking guide for cultural and adventures tours in Himachal Pradesh. Overview of your Dharamshala tour
As we know "The World is really beautiful on foot" so we will experience the same by walking for nearly first 3 hours. We ll see the local tribal village with their lifestyle and by interacting with them. As walk continues after the village chances are to admire the natural beauty with the serene and quiet area amidst the forest where monks are in retreat. And yes how can you leave the city after experiencing their local food while its of that area or Tibetan food. So there is a great chance to experience all this with the local family in their home.
Your Dharamshala tour itinerary
● We will drive by car to the starting point of this walk is from Naddi village. Naddi - Bhagsu walk (2 ½ to 3 Hrs). Arrive Naddi village and start the walk through village and forest till Bhagsu via Dharamkot. ● Naddi is a very beautiful village of Gaddi people which is a tribe of Western Himalaya. From this village it's a grand view of Dhauladhar mountain range on one side and Kangra valley view on another side. ● During this walk we also cross through the retreat of Tibetan monks where they are living in the huts. Spend half an hour or so in their retreat area for meditation where the group can feel the spirituality in that ambience. ● Later start walking and cross through the Dharamkot and upper Bhagsu villages and waterfall. ● We will drive for 40 minutes to lower Dharamshala to a local family where we can have class on local Indian food of the area followed by lunch.
