I'm Kevin, and you could say that I'm a cultural interpreter, not a teacher (passing on knowledge) or a sightseeing guide (pointing things out). I'm more like a reverse anthropologist: a local expert insider explaining and sharing Rothenburg's culture and history with my inquisitive customers. I lead exploratory walks and unscripted cultural experiences. Information is presented in a way that allows my guests to make their own mental connections because, after all, a tour with just interesting information is infotainment. The most memorable tours are the ones that make people think and feel. Bamberg is located in Upper Franconia and is approx. 1 hour drive from Nuremberg. Its historic city center has been a listed UNESCO World Heritage site since 1993. This makes Bamberg one of just twelve sites in Germany and one of the 400 sites worldwide that have been recognized in this manner.
Your Nuremberg tour itinerary
This tour will take you to all of the most interesting, historical sites within the historic city center. Some of the sites we'll see are the Residence Geyerswörth, the Old City Hall, the Bamberg Cathedral, the Old Royal Residence, the New Residence, Michaelsberg Abbey, and a visit to Altenburg Castle. For lunch (not included in the tour price) we'll have the opportunity to savor the Bamberger Onion and wash it down with some world-famous smoke beer. My Bamberg day tour is a leisurely, kid friendly, walking tour where YOU set the pace. Please don't forget to wear comfortable walking shoes. If your party is larger than 6 people, please let me know so I can give you a quote for the additional costs involved.
