Hey there, thanks for choosing me as your guide. I'm Barbara and was born in Munich. I love its beautiful historical sights, the medieval buildiungs, the food and culture. I give tours in Englisch and German and with my background as a singer/songwriter/stand up comedien, I will not only give you interesting facts and information, but also will make you laugh and have a good time. MY FAVORITE PLACES ARE: * Marienplatz (the heart of the Center with beautiful buildings) * Hofbräuhaus (the world famous beerhall with delicious food) * Feldherrenhalle (it has a sad history but looks amazing) * English garten (a huge park that's even bigger than Central Park) * Frauenkirche (an impressive churche which is the symbol of Munich) * St. Pete (the oldest building in Munich) Let me show you this stunning mix of vibrant city life, cool shops on the one hand and medieval buildings and traditional restaurants on the other. Overview of your Munich tour
On this tour you will see 35 famous sights of the city, learn the interesting history that goes back to 1158 and hear many fun facts. Since Hitler lived here for 32 years, you will also hear much about the Third Reich and the NSDAP (Nazi party) that was founded here. We will walk down the pedestrian zone. Only this was officially Munich until 1791. You will love the mix of medieval buildings and new stores. In the 200 year old "Butcher's lane" you can buy a Bavarian snack. Up for a Braturst sandwich or the popular "Leberkäs Semmel"? Don't worry - Vegetarians/Vegans don't have to starve! (Closed after 7pm and on sundays/holidays!) We stop for a lunch (~60 minutes) in a traditional restaurant (drinks and food NOT included in the tour fee!) Some highlights: * the oldest house in the city (1264) * restaurant where Hitler had the first contact with the later Naziparty * world famous beerhall Hofbräuhaus * part of the 1st city wall (~1190) * beatifull new cityhall and more
Your Munich tour itinerary
1. Hotel pick up (when centrally located) or meeting at McDonalds at "Karlsplatz (Stachus)" 2. Walking down pedestrian zone and see sights such as: - Palace of Justice - St. Michael's Church - Woman's Church - St. Mary's Square - Old and new Cityhall - Chimes - Viktualienmarket - Isar Gate - Karl's Gate - Sternäckerbräu - Hofbräuhaus - Zerwicks House - Lion's Tower - Fish Fountain and muuuch more 3. Lunch (~50 - 60 minutest) after around 2,5 hours Usually I end the tour at "Odeon's Square", but I'm flexible. ***HOW I WORK*** I don't only wanna be your guide - I wanna be your friend from Munich! Let me tell you how we locals feel, think, what we like and hate. When I tell you about our history, I won't bore you with too much names and numbers. I want you to remember everything after the tour, so I won't overwhelm you but still give you much information.
