Hello everyone, My name is Andreea and I am a tour guide in Corsica since 2017. I discovered this Mediterranean island in 2013 when I started to study at the University of Corsica. I immediately fell in love with this beautiful place and decided to make it my home. I have always been passionate about discovering places, people and their culture, and Corsica offered me exactly what I was looking for: extraordinary natural places, mountains and sea at an unimaginable proximity, welcoming people with a very rich history and culture, a Mediterranean gastronomy "spiced" with countless mountain dishes, all in short everything that I needed for a healthy lifestyle. Being a tour guide in Corsica is by far the greatest things for me because it comes verry naturally for me to share my enthusiasm, the joy of living on this extraordinary island and all the knowledge that I have acquired. It is one of those few places offering that very special something which we're all seeking during our holidays, whether we want to relax or test our limits and have unforgettable memories. Corsica is a place to discover in all seasons and I consider myself lucky to be able to live here and to have the opportunity to share with you the best of what I have experienced so far working as a local tour guide. Explore inland villages and life between the sea and the mountains
Overview of your Calvi tour
This pleasant journey will take you along winding roads and through the picturesque villages of the Balagne. You will discover the Balagne countryside, one of the most fertile regions of Corsica of the past, famous for its rich production of honey, fruits and wine. Today, acres of gnarled olive trees and undulating remnants of dry stone walls intermittently break up the pattern of pale granite rock. Our first stop will be the terraced village of Lumio overlooking the bay, with its outstanding Romanesque church. From there, the road winds quietly inland to typical Corsican villages: Lavatoggio, Cateri, San Antonino, Aregno, Pigna, Corbara. . . We will stop to discover these old villages, their history and local traditions, the local products and above all the magnificent views that await us. We'll continue by exploring Ile Rousse, the Corsican port founded by Pasqual Paoli. Then the silver sandy beaches and of course Algajola, the ancient Phoenician port, visited by the Romans during their retreat.

Suggested Itinerary: • We'll start the day driving along the coast and our first stop will be the terraced village of Lumio overlooking the bay, with its outstanding Romanesque church. • Corsican villages: Lavatoggio, Cateri, San Antonino, Aregno, Pigna, Corbara. . . •We will enjoy a typical lunch together (not included) •Visit Ile Rousse, the Corsican port founded by Pasqual Paoli, today a charming destination in all seasons. • The warm sunlight of the afternoon will be with us as we explore the coastline and other secret places on the way back to Calvi: the silver sandy beaches and of course Algajola • We will return to Calvi at apero time, recounting this unforgettable day.
