Half day tour to the most scenic landscapes & most beautiful hilltowns of Istria and a beautiful escape from busy coastal places. . . On this tour, I will take you on a magical journey to the most picturesque part of Istria, that many people like to call "Croatian Tuscany" (???) or simply land of magic. Located in the northern corner of the peninsula it is a nice getaway from busy coastal places in the summer, with a wide offer of exquisit local specialties: wine, olive oil, liqueurs, and above all famous Istrian shroom truffles - tartufi. Tour also includes guided walking tour of twoo most interesting Hilltowns in Istria: Groznjan - nowadays a busy musical summer place for artistic gatherings, and Motovun - perhaps the best known old Venetian fort-town in the heart of truffles region.
Matt was an outstanding guide! It is hard to imagine a more informed tour would have been possible. We learned quite a lot about the region, it's history and topics specifically tailored to our expressed interests in a fully entertaining day. We were given plenty of time to explore on our own and never felt rushed. He truly made our day special and we couldn't recommend more highly.
