Istrian Peninsula, first of all as a multicultural-multistate region and historic place, also offers a lot of exquisite food and great dining experience.. More than 2200 years of cultivation of both wine grapes and olive trees which still exist and develop pretty much lately by around 200 Wineries and 80-100 olive oil producers, constantly building up their quality and reputation. In last more than a decade, the famous Italian yearbook "Flos Olei", as well as NYIOOC - New York International Olive Oil Competition, rewarded exquisite EVOOs - Extra Virgin Olive Oils from Istria among The Best Ones in the World. As local, I am offering a visit and tasting of their and other products, of two wineries and one olive oil farm in Istria, (and we will stay approx. 45min-1 hour at each place. Tour itinerary goes through most beautiful Istrian landscapes, particularly the northern countryside. There are also limitless options for lunch and other wishes of yours to see more of Istria.
Matt was amazing. He pulled together a custom 2 day winery tour with less than one week's notice, no easy feat in Istria in August. Besides the itinerary he gave us a very informative and entertaining commentary on Istrian culture, history, and wine. Highly recommend.
Matijas was an excellent guide, providing a tailored itinerary and taking us to a mix of wineries and other areas we wanted to see. He was very knowledgable on the area and its history. I would highly recommend him for a driving tour or any sort of tour, whether it is a small group or a large group.
The tour goes from any bigger place in Istria (Pula, Rovinj, Vrsar, Poreč, Novigrad, Umag, Labin, Pazin) to two wineries and one olive oil producer in Istria, depending on your guide's choice and availability. Options for Wineries: - Kabola Momjan, - Kozlović Momjan, - Benvenuti Kaldir, - Rossi Vizinada, - Coronica Umag, - Arman - Vizinada, - Poletti Markovac, - San Tommaso Golaš, - Trošt Šorići etc. Options for Olive Oil: - Meloto Vodnjan, - Chiavalon Vodnjan, - San Antonio Vodnjan, - Oio Vivo Vodnjan, - Cesar Kaldir, - Ipša Livade, - Grubić Bale etc. There is at least 1 and a half to 2 hours drive and of course, proper guiding through Istria included, you drinking/me driving from one place to another. Please note: tour and itinerary can be set and arranged up to your specific needs, wishes and requirements.
