Hello and Welcome to Costa Rica! My name is Priscilla and I have been working as a Tour Guide for over 10 years. I was born and raised in Limon, most of the touristic places of the province today are areas I went as a child and it will be an honor to take you around. I truly enjoy sharing the beauty, culture, and history of my country with tourists from all over the world. Having a passion for traveling myself, tour guiding plays an important role in my life: I always try to accommodate any request and shape the itinerary based on the actual interests of my clients. I want to make sure I'll deliver a lifetime memory rather than just a tour, taking my travelers into a journey that will combine several points of interest: culture, nature, wildlife, history, urban legends, economy and adventure. Exposing the authenticity of each area, doing something that they will remember in a good way. During my tours, you can expect to see the main highlights (even if crowded at times, there's a reason why they're famous!) as well as some off-the-beaten places. I've learned that there's nothing wrong with stepping away from the typical tourist paths. . . Sometimes a simple "stop the bus" to see a monkey or a sloth along the road, or to get some tropical fruit from a local farmer can really make a big difference. The purpose of my tours will be to make connections between people from different countries and backgrounds throughout the tour. Giving my guest a reason to return or recommend me. And of course to have fun, I love what I do and I think you'll get to feel that at the end. Looking forward to seeing you in Costa Rica! Explore the Tortuguero Canals looking for wildlife for an hour. From the boat there's possibilities of spotting monkeys, sloths, iguanas and many other species. Learn about the Biodiversity and Conservation efforts that Costa Rica offers. After the boat ride we will drive around a Banana Field where you'll enjoy an explanation of the entire process. On the way to the ship we'll stop at a local fruit stand that's along the road to try different tropical fresh fruits.
Priscilla was absolutely the best. She knew all about the history of the area, along with the animals and plant life. She was very willing to do things at our pace and spend as much time as we wanted on things we found particularly interesting. Doing this as opposed to booking a group tour through the cruise line was great. There is no comparison!
Priscilla is a wonderful tour guide. She met and exceeded all of our expectations, which were rather high considering her high ratings from other guests. Our communications upfront were excellent and she easily accommodated our schedule when we discovered a day before that our vessel would actually arrive much later than originally scheduled. The tour was amazing, although we did not get to see caymans or crocodiles but face to face with a sloth made up for it. Lunch was excellent.
Priscilla was a wonderful guide. Her knowledge of Costa Rica and her education as a biologist made the experience one of the best we have had in all our travels. The boat captain on the canals knew all the best spots. Having the boat to ourselves was SO worth it. We saw so many animals and birds. Highly recommend, made our trip for us!
Priscilla was an "AMAZING" tour guide of Costa Rica. She truly knows her country and culture. We had the "BEST" time in Costa Rica with her from the viewing Sloths on the Tortuero Canals to the eating the best homemade food at Bar-Rest Porto 7 on the beach. It was just simply a great day and would highly recommend her to anyone. This was all done in one day from a cruise ship visit.
Priscilla was the BEST tour guide we booked on ANY tours by locals - BY FAR! We met her in Puerto Limon - a canal tour, a banana plantation and lunch at the most incredible restaurant, Red Snapper. She was personable, incredibly knowledgable, accommodating to ALL our needs - even to buy a suitcase! She was so attentive. Her lovely personality was the cherry on top. I cannot recommend her enough! If you have the option to book her - DO IT WITHOUT HESITATION! WE LOVED HER!!!!
We had the a fantastic day w/Priscilla in Limon. We took the Tortugero Canals tour. Between her and our boat driver, they spotted all kinds of animals -- monkeys, iquanas, Jesus Christ Lizards, birds. The bonus is that Priscilla has a biology degree & also knew about the flora! We stopped at a banana plantation briefly and that was interesting. We also stopped at a family owned trinket/food spot where we helped the local economy. Overall it was a great day and we highly recommend Priscilla!
- Meeting at the port outer gate -Drive for around 30 minutes to Moin dock -We'll get on a rooftop boat for one hour going along some river canals enjoying the scenery and looking for wildlife - After the boat ride we'll drive by a banana planting and stop at a local fruit stand - Then we will return to the ship.
