Hello, I am Volen. Always believed I am born to travel. I have no other explanation for my endless desire to explore Bulgaria, the Balkans, and the rest of the world. My travelling experience dates back to my childhood when I started getting to know my home town region with my bike. It Is then when my dream of becoming a tour guide was born. The way to achieve my goal later went through the University of Sofia where I studied Tourism and Cultural Tourism, the special courses for tour guides and many personal travels. The dream came true in 2009 when I was 20. Since then I am working as a tour guide. On most of the tours I am the the driver as well. I am specialized in group and individual tours all around Bulgaria, the Balkans (Serbia, Romania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Greece, Albania, Kosovo, Croatia, Slovenia) and some central and western European countries. I am always ready to share my knowledge with you, to show you the country in many different aspects - history, nature, culture, traditions , humour, cuisine and many more. I would like to give you the chance to experience the places like the locals do, to learn more than what is in the guidebooks and on the internet. Always with a smile on my face. My husband and I took the walking tour with Volen while on a river cruise. He met us right at the dock which was very convenient. He was very knowledgeable about the city and provided a great deal of history and insight into the area. The city is very lovely and was a great place to walk. I highly recommend this tour.

Volen is an excellent guide to use to explore Vidin and his tour exceeded our expectations. One of the highlights of the tour was when he was able to gain access to the old orthodox church and we were able to see its beautiful frescos and icons. Additionallly, he provided us insights into Bulgarian culture and customs and shared personal stories that enhanced our experience. Finally, he was flexible when we asked to reschedule the start time of our meeting. I highly recommend this tour.
