I was born in Rio de Janeiro but moved to the Netherlands when I was three years old. After spending eight years there, I returned to Rio, where I have lived since 2000, in the heart of the city. Growing up abroad instilled in me a special connection with foreigners and tourists visiting Rio. I’ve always enjoyed showcasing the unique activities and lesser-known spots that highlight our vibrant culture. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business and have worked in various sectors, including finance, HR, and project management, until 2023. Despite my professional background, my passion has always been tourism. In 2018, I seized the opportunity to combine my love for food and tourism by creating a Bar Food Tour. This venture started as a hobby but grew into a full-time pursuit by 2023, allowing me to leave my traditional job behind. Since then, I’ve launched several projects, including a tour about Copacabana's history and private city tours with a focus on culinary experiences. My goal is to introduce visitors to the best local spots, offering a deeper understanding of our local customs and the places that make Rio de Janeiro special for its residents.

Step off the tourist trail and into the real Rio with me on the Rio Bar Food Tour, a one-of-a-kind walking experience through four hand-picked bars in Copacabana. It feels like a friend showing you their favorite local spots. As your guide, I’ll share the Copacabana I live and breathe every day. At each stop, you’ll enjoy delicious finger foods, try a different drink in every bar, and dive into the stories and history that shaped both the neighborhood and the city. But what truly sets this experience apart is something I value deeply: bars with soul. These are not random venues — they’re places with character, legacy, and food that tells a story. You’ll feel why each one matters, not just taste it. Through food, drinks, and casual storytelling, you’ll understand why Copacabana is more than just a famous beach — it’s a cultural meeting point where the past and present of Rio come together at the bar table.
