Lagoinha do Leste Hiking Tour with Stunning Views

Come discover Lagoinha do Leste, one of Florianópolis’ most secluded beaches where you'll get to either relax on its white sands or swim in its clear lagoon. I will share stories & legends that refer to this place as “Ilha da Magia" (magical island). We'd be covering a hiking distance of roughly 6 km in a round trip departing from yet another beach, that of Pantano do Sul Beach. We’ll follow a scenic trail through lush Atlantic Forest, with chances to spot marmosets (saguis) and the striking blue jays (gralhas azuis). Along the way, I'll tell you about native plants, local wildlife and the island’s cultural heritage. Our tour's highest point will be at Morro da Coroa, where we'll stop to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Lagoina do Leste, as well as the ocean and surrounding green hills. This hike requires moderate fitness & proper footwear. Bring water, sunscreen, & curiosity!

-The tour will begin once we meet either at your lodging or at a pre-determined point in Florianópolis, from where we'll go on an approximately 45 min drive towards Pantano do Sul Beach. -On arrival, I'll deliver a safety briefing & check we're carrying all the equipment we'll need. -After giving you a brief introduction to the trail, we'll start the hike, which can be divided in 2 sections: ·Section 1 constitutes a 1.4 km uphill hike on an open trail with wide views of the Atlantic Forest. ·Section 2 spans 1.2 km of a closed, shaded trail surrounded by dense vegetation up to Morro da Coroa viewpoint. -Later, we'll descend 8 m down a steep slope towards the beach (care & attention required). -After visiting Lagoinha do Leste Beach, we'll begin our return hike, which could also be split in 2 sections: ·The 1st one constitutes a 1 km uphill trail from the beach. ·The 2nd one goes 1.4 km downhill back to Pantano do Sul Beach. -Once there, we'll drive back to the city centre.
